You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Mrs. Puff is a resilient sweetheart with an abundance of love to share. Estimated to have been born around January 3, 2021, she has already overcome a battle with heartworms and was successfully treated. Mrs. Puff was briefly adopted, only to be returned through no fault of her own when a new "fluffy" canine housemate didn't warm up to her.   She has lots of love to give and absolutely loves to play in the play yard. Mrs. Puff tends to favor women and would do great as an only dog or in a home with just one other canine companion. Her adoption fee is $250.   If you are interested in meeting this loving girl and potentially offering her a forever home, please complete an application on the A Doggie 4 You website at www.adoggie4you.org.   This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $250. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 17, 2025, 4:13 pm

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌟🐾 Meet Gypsy — Short Legs, Big Heart, Still Waiting 💛🐾 Gypsy has been waiting… and waiting… and waiting. And honestly? She’s waited far too long for a girl this special. At 2 years old and 28 pounds, Gypsy is a delightful blend of Cattle Dog smarts and Basset Hound charm — think low-rider body, big-dog energy, and a personality that could light up a room. She’s basically the off-road model of a best friend: compact, sturdy, and always ready for an adventure. Gypsy LOVES her walks and is getting better and better on leash every day. She’s happiest when she’s outside, exploring the yard, supervising chores, or keeping an eye out for squirrels (her self-appointed job, and she takes it very seriously). When playtime winds down, she’s just as content following her favorite human around like a loyal little shadow. She’s playful, affectionate, and full of goofy charm. Toys are fun. Shoelaces are very intriguing. And her signature low-rider zoomies? Absolutely legendary. 🐾 Gypsy’s Highlights: ✅ 2 years old, 28 lbs ✅ Dog-friendly ✅ House & crate trained ✅ Loves walks and outdoor time ✅ Sweet, silly, and full of personality ✅ Equal parts sass, snuggles, and sunshine While Gypsy does great with other dogs, cats are an unknown — mostly because Gypsy believes squirrels are public enemy #1 — so she may prefer a home without feline roommates. What Gypsy really wants, though, isn’t much. She wants a family who will love her quirks, laugh at her goofy legs, and finally give her the forever home she’s been patiently waiting for. She’s ready to be someone’s hiking buddy, couch companion, and daily dose of happiness. 💛 Gypsy has so much love to give — she just needs someone to give her a chance. Short legs. Big heart. Endless loyalty. ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Gypsy finally stop waiting and start living the life she deserves. 🐾💛

Story
Meet Roxie! Roxie is a 6 year old, 52-lb, Beagle-mix who loves nothing more than to chill by her people. That's not entirely true; she may love food more than that. This highly food motivated girl would prefer to snuggle on your lap to big, extravagant adventures. Roxie gets along with other dogs but would prefer if they were also pretty low-key, or at least respectful of her space. She's fine with the cats, often watching them curiously but from a safe distance. She would gladly accept the role of "child's best friend" as she loves kids and loves hanging out with them. Occasionally, Roxie will get a playful streak in her and want you to play tug of war with her and a toy. Or in the very least, she wants you to acknowledge that she is, in fact, a pretty girl with a toy. One of Roxie's favorite past times is giving judgmental looks to everyone. Need some extra motivation to stick to your New Year's resolutions? Perfect, Roxie has the face for that! She will bestow a perfectly primed judgmental look to throw at you for all your life's decisions. "We listen but we don't judge?" Not here! Roxie will absolutely judge you but she'll look cute doing it. If you're looking for a low-key companion to snuggle with and share your deepest secrets with (at least she can't spill them, right??) Roxie is the dog for you! Roxie is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $275.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
