Story
Furcules is an 10lb, 3-month-old aussie/beagle/terrier mix. He loves to snuggle and play with his puppy siblings! He is super soft and very smart and can't wait to find a family to teach him all about potty training and going for walks! Furcules is being fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $400.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Nola is a 6 year old Beagle mix. While we are not sure how she would do with cats, we do know she can be choosey with her dog friends. So, if you have another dog at home please bring them in for a meet and greet. Nola is not a fan of children and does not have the patience for them. She also has shown some resource guarding when around children. She does know basic commands and was house broken when she came to us, but may need a refresher due to being in a shelter setting. Nola likes to lounge around and lay in the sun. If you would like to meet her please stop by SPCA Cincinnati to visit her and all our other adoptable pets.

Story
Beautiful BECCA is big fun in a small package. She's a lively little girl, 2 years old and fully grown at just 22 pounds. She's sweet, friendly and active. With her stunning brown eyes and cheerful disposition, Becca will charm the treats right out of you. Becca appears to be a beagle/jack russell terrier-type mix. Her legs are spring-loaded like a JRT, this girl can JUMP. She just loves to play, loves her toys and treats and people. She's good with other dogs and uninterested in kitties. Becca needs a home with another playful dog, without a playmate she will likely get bored and into some mischief. She will need a securely fenced yard OR she will need to be taken out regularly for leashed walks.  The vertical slat fences that HOA's love will not contain a petite pup like Becca, she can slip right through. Beagles have a bad habit of following their noses into trouble. If you'd like to meet Becca, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Becca at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate if she's still available. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 17, 2024, 5:12 pm

ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED! CECIL is such a poser! The minute this guy sees a treat bag he starts striking poses to earn some yummy rewards. Cecil is one easy to love beagle with a big, outgoing personality. He's a happy chappy sweetheart of a boy. It's impossible to have a bad day with this sweet face around. Cecil is about 7 years old and currently 32 pounds. Cecil loves everyone, is fine with other dogs and has a beautiful beagle singing voice. We simply cannot say enough good things about this delightful boy. He needs a home with a physically-fenced yard to keep him from following his beagle nose into trouble. Story
ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED!!! HAROLD is one of the happiest chaps you'll ever want to meet. Cheerful, friendly, affectionate, playful and HANDSOME -- HAROLD is the total package. He's a young mixed breed boy, about 1 year old and fully grown at 43 lbs. He looks like a dog who was photoshopped together -- a sweet beagle face, perfect smoky eyeliner, flippy floppy ears that catch every breeze and a medium length coat with German Shepherd coloring down his back. Harold loves to fetch toys and balls but doesn't quite get the concept of bringing them back yet. He's a fool for treats and takes direction well. He's very friendly with other dogs. Harold is best suited to a home with another playful dog and a physically fenced yard where he will have room to run and play. If you'd like to meet Harold, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. Story
Introducing Gambit - the name's not just a coincidence; it's a testament to my ability to shape my destiny. Just like my Marvel/X-Men namesake, I've overcome my past and now look forward to a brilliantly bright future. My journey started in a rather somber place - a lonely field next to a gas station. Thankfully, kind souls would drop by, leaving me food and their hopes for a better life. One day, a persistent and resourceful lady decided to play her "pawn" and orchestrated my escape from that grim existence. Since then, I've been living with her and her doggy (and human) family. But now, I'm eagerly searching for my own forever family. Let's talk quirks. I'm a cheerful guy, but I've got some personal space boundaries. I'm protective of my face, so a home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids is my ideal match. I'm also a bit of a goofball and adore the company of other dogs. Now, I might not instantly become your best buddy; I take time to trust and get comfortable in my surroundings. But trust me, the patience will be worth it. I'm brimming with love and loyalty, just waiting for the right family to share it with. Here's the good news - I'm house and crate trained, proving that, yes, young dogs can indeed learn new tricks. Oh, and there's more - I'm pretty chill around cats, though a gentle introduction is wise. And I've been curious and respectful around a human baby, so that's a plus. One thing to note, though, is that I've had some reservations around men. Despite two years together, I haven't quite warmed up to my human's fianc and have snapped at him a few times. So, it might be best if I find a home without men. During a short stay with Kathy, I was a little shy but kept to myself. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a dash of X-Men flair and you're ready to give me the chance I deserve, let's make it happen. I can't wait to meet you and start this exciting new chapter together! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
We adopted Snickers about 7 years ago. Our friends found her mother (beagle) on the side of the rode pregnant with her (and her siblings). They nursed her mother to health and delivered the puppies. She came to our home several weeks later. She has grown with the kids and loves to be around people. Now that the kids are off to college and I don't have a lot of time, she has been left home alone often and due to her barking it has been requested that she be rehomed. She barks to gain the attention of everyone and truly loves people.

Meet the cutest gal on the block with the best smile, Lucinda! Lu is a 4.5 year old hound, boxer mix who loves her people, including kids, and is full of exuberance. She is also only a medium girl at 45 lbs— the perfect size in our eyes! She came into rescue at 6 months old & was adopted, but was returned 3 years later because the adopter was having a baby. Sweet Lucinda did nothing wrong, & she’s looking for a forever, loving family this time around!    Lucinda loves playing with energetic dog friends after slow meets & is working on manners (she can get a tad bit excited for some hehe)! She would love an active home where she can go on adventures with her people— a favorite of hers is hiking! A family that gives her lots of belly rubs? She says, “yes please!”   This wiggly girl is healthy & ready to find her forever home! She is house trained, crate trained, & knows basic commands! She is so smart & is ready to continue learning in a forever home to show a family just how amazing she is! June 19, 2024, 9:04 am

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hi, my name is Ellie and I’m a five year old beagle mix. First, let me tell you all the great things about me; I’m a snuggler and love sleeping under the covers, I know a lot of commands and can be taught more because I’m super smart and very good motivated. I also get along with other friendly dogs and also with dog savvy cats. I walk like a champ with a prong collar and like car rides too. Now, I’m going to tell you about things I’m working on. I’m a barker, foster mom says it’s because I’m a hound but sometimes I wear a bark collar because I’ve decided it’s my job to let you know about anything that might be a threat, whether it’s a squirrel in the yard or just an unknown sound. I also would not do good around small kids and prefer ones ten or older that are respectful of my space. I do take anxiety medicine which helps me. I want a person/family that understand my needs and want to help me continue my training. I almost forgot to mention that I’m housebroken and will stay in my crate and I never ever tear anything up or chew on things. June 19, 2024, 9:04 am
