Story
DOROTHY is a silly, slightly naughty beagle girl looking for a home. She's fun and affectionate but also kind of a hoarder. She will drag all toys, chewies, blankies and extra dog beds into her favorite bed, then climb in for a nice snooze. It's adorable. Dorothy is probably 8-9 years old but she doesn't act her age. She enjoys running in the yard with her foster siblings. She isn't playing with them yet but engages in lots of play bows. She's housebroken, crate trained, dog and cat friendly. She's a good sized beagle, her ideal weight is around 30 pounds but she's carrying around a few extra pounds right now. Dorothy needs a home with a physically-fenced yard to keep her from following her beagle nose into trouble. If you'd like to meet Dorothy, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Dorothy at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. MELANIE is a lovely little lemon beagle girl looking for a home. She is petite little blondie, about 5 years old and fully grown at just 22 pounds. Melanie is a little timid when meeting new people an in new situations. She comes around quickly if you offer up some tasty treats. Melanie has probably given birth to multiple litters of puppies but her days as a babymaker are over. She's ready to cuddle up on the sofa, sniff around the yard and play with her fur siblings. She needs a physically fenced yard to keep her from following her beagle nose into trouble. If you'd like to meet Melanie, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. Meet BLANCHE the blurry beagle. This busy little beagle girl just will not hold still for photos. She's silly and fun and cute as a button. She's a beautiful beagle but we just don't have the photos to prove it because her schedule is packed. There are too many smells to inspect, people to meet, treats to beg for, etc. Blanche is fun and sweet, loves to play and cuddle. Don't worry, she will settle nicely in a new home. Blanche is around 7 years old and fully grown at just 23 pounds. Standard beagle rules apply, she needs a physically-fenced yard to keep her from following her nose into trouble. She's dog friendly and uninterested in cats. If you'd like to meet Blanche, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Blanche at our weeky adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Story
CUPCAKE is a sweet girl looking for a home. Cupcake is a Heinz 57 Varieties-type mixed breed girl who came to us from a rural shelter. She's listed as a beagle mix, she's probably a beagle plus 6 or 8 more breeds. Cupcake is about 18 months old and fully grown at 32 pounds. She's good with other dogs and would love to find a home with another friendly doggo. We'd prefer to find Cupcake a home with a physically-fenced yard. She's housebroken and crate trained. If you'd like to meet Cupcake please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. Story
JEREMY is the kind of dog they write country songs about. He's a sweet-faced big-hearted good ol' boy who loves people with every fiber of his being. Jeremy is also silly and playful. Every day is the best day ever for Jeremy. He gets so excited when the treat bag comes out that he has to do a couple of zoomie laps in the yard. Sometimes he forgets to come back for the actual treat. Jeremy wants just one thing -- to find a best friend to love. He does like treats and food and bouncing around in the yard but his happy place is cozying up with his people. Jeremy is a houndy beagle mix, we're guessing a beagle/American Fox Hound mix. At 42 pounds he's a bit bigger than a beagle but smaller than a hound, a perfect medium-sized dog. He's about 7 years old with an absolutely delightful disposition. He's dog friendly and best suited to a home with a physically-fenced yard. If you'd like to meet Jeremy, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Jeremy at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate.  Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. Story
ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED! Meet PATSY PUGGLE, a sweet, gentle timid girl looking for a home. Patsy Puggle has been a months-long project for her foster mom. She came to the rescue a terrified mess. She was a stray dog who gave birth to puppies. She had to be trapped in order to be captured along with her pups. We were told that a rescue agreed to take the puppies, but wouldn't take mama because she was so terrified. It's been a journey getting Patsy ready for a home, but she's finally ready! Patsy Puggle is a puggle (pug/beagle)-type mixed breed girl, 5ish years old and fully grown at 25 pounds. Patsy needs a quiet home with a patient adopter who will help build her confidence. Patsy Puggle needs a well-balanced dog sibling to help her navigate life. She adores her confident foster sister. She MUST have a fur sibling, no exceptions. Patsy Puggle needs a secure, physically fenced yard to keep her safe. Patsy Puggle is housebroken, crate trained and dog and cat friendly. She is not a suitable dog for a first-time pet parent. If you would like to meet Patsy Puggle, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. Rowdy is a little shy with new people. Shes great with all dogs she meets and would be best on a home with another dog to help her adjust. Rowdy is curious in new situations, but life up until recently, hasnt been kind to her..... so she will need time to get comfortable and then her true goofy nature will emerge! Like a butterfly, Rowdy is a much different pup than when she 1st came to us from the pound, with no hope of getting out :( UNTIL the rescue chick saw me and knew i was a diamond in the RUFF ;) Rowdy needs a patient home who will give her time to warm up, open up & trust. Older kids only would be best for her and a fully fenced yard is a must. Until she settles in she'll be an escape risk. An apartment would work for Rowdy as well. She is ready for her furever family!! Apply soon! Local adoption only $200, in TX

Story
Samwell Tarly (aka Tucker) is back and looking for his forever home!  Samwell Tarly (knows Tucker) is a 10yo 20lb Boxer mix who was returned to us through no fault of his own. He is a polite, quiet boy who is house and crate trained, great on the leash and in the car. He has done well with dogs and children, greeting potential adopters with a friendly wag of his tail.  After 24 hours with him in his new foster home, we have learned many things about this sweet boy! 1. He is very well trained! He knows “sit”, “stay”, and “shake” and I’m sure there are even more!  2. He LOVES to be outside and to go for car rides!  3. He is such a smart cookie! He alerts for the bathroom and knows when it’s time to eat!  4. He has a huge heart and the softest ears! He’s a great snuggler!  5. He would make a perfect first pet for someone! Samwell is our first foster (and first pet) and he has done such a great job! He is still getting acclimated, but he’s been such an easy pup!March 7, 2026, 3:29 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Skyler.  Foster mom says they named me that because I got hit by a car and went flying through the sky. Just kidding. I did get hit by a car and had a fractured hip and scapula. I also had nerve damage in my foot. When I first got here, I would drag my paw so foster mom was calling me flapper. She said it was because my Paw would just flap flap flap. Then she would take my paw in her hands and rub it like a genie’s lamp while saying “come on flapper, come on flapper”. I don’t know about you but that doesn’t seem medical to me. But, whatever something is working. Foster mom says I’m a resilient little guy cause I’m pretty much all better now and ready to find my forever. I still have some nerve damage in my foot but the vet says it’s okay to find my family. When you meet me you will see that I still favor it a bit, but I’m getting better every day. I don’t let it get me down, I just keep on moving. I do have to say I’m a pretty good dog. I don’t poop or pee in my crate. I clean my plate every time. I don’t do my business in the house, as long as you let me out frequently and I can be trusted overnight. I don’t usually mess with stuff that’s not mine either. There was this one time when I got mom‘s phone charging cord. She didn’t get mad though. She just looked at me and said “what were you thinking”. I looked right back at her like “duh, I’m a dog”. I was just confused. I play well with the other dogs and even share my bones. She said she wishes she could keep me around, but she’s already got too many dogs and she really does. We have to play like the floor is lava and jump from the couch to the chair to the bed because there’s hardly any room to walk. I love playing with all the dogs here, but it really would be nice to have a little bit more room to play and more personal cuddle time. My compact size means I won’t hog all the bed at night. If you think you might be my person better get online now and put your application in. The sooner you get approved the sooner we can start our forever together.    March 7, 2026, 3:29 pm

Meet the cutest gal on the block with the best smile, Lucinda! Lu is a 4.5 year old hound, boxer mix who loves her people, including kids, and is full of exuberance. She is also only a medium girl at 45 lbs— the perfect size in our eyes! She came into rescue at 6 months old & was adopted, but was returned 3 years later because the adopter was having a baby. Sweet Lucinda did nothing wrong, & she’s looking for a forever, loving family this time around!  Lucinda loves playing with energetic dog friends after slow meets & is working on manners (she can get a tad bit excited for some hehe)! She would love an active home where she can go on adventures with her people— a favorite of hers is hiking! A family that gives her lots of belly rubs? She says, “yes please!” This wiggly girl is healthy & ready to find her forever home! She is house trained, crate trained, & knows basic commands! She is so smart & is ready to continue learning in a forever home to show a family just how amazing she is!March 7, 2026, 3:29 pm

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌟🐾 Meet Gypsy — Short Legs, Big Heart, Still Waiting 💛🐾 Gypsy has been waiting… and waiting… and waiting. And honestly? She’s waited far too long for a girl this special. At 2 years old and 28 pounds, Gypsy is a delightful blend of Cattle Dog smarts and Basset Hound charm — think low-rider body, big-dog energy, and a personality that could light up a room. She’s basically the off-road model of a best friend: compact, sturdy, and always ready for an adventure. Gypsy LOVES her walks and is getting better and better on leash every day. She’s happiest when she’s outside, exploring the yard, supervising chores, or keeping an eye out for squirrels (her self-appointed job, and she takes it very seriously). When playtime winds down, she’s just as content following her favorite human around like a loyal little shadow. She’s playful, affectionate, and full of goofy charm. Toys are fun. Shoelaces are very intriguing. And her signature low-rider zoomies? Absolutely legendary. 🐾 Gypsy’s Highlights: ✅ 2 years old, 28 lbs ✅ Dog-friendly ✅ House & crate trained ✅ Loves walks and outdoor time ✅ Sweet, silly, and full of personality ✅ Equal parts sass, snuggles, and sunshine While Gypsy does great with other dogs, cats are an unknown — mostly because Gypsy believes squirrels are public enemy #1 — so she may prefer a home without feline roommates. What Gypsy really wants, though, isn’t much. She wants a family who will love her quirks, laugh at her goofy legs, and finally give her the forever home she’s been patiently waiting for. She’s ready to be someone’s hiking buddy, couch companion, and daily dose of happiness. 💛 Gypsy has so much love to give — she just needs someone to give her a chance. Short legs. Big heart. Endless loyalty. ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Gypsy finally stop waiting and start living the life she deserves. 🐾💛

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🎀✨ Meet Cindy Lou — Your Future Walking, Wagging Tail Bundle of Joy ✨🎀 At just a year old, Cindy Lou is already proving she’s less “puppy” and more full-blown heart thief. With her stunning reddish and black coat, bright amber eyes, and joyful spirit, she looks very much like a Harrier/German Shepherd mix. What that really means? Brains, beauty, loyalty, and just the right dash of playful sass. Cindy Lou is sweet, affectionate, playful, and delightfully goofy — the total package. She adores her people (big and small), though she’s still mastering the fine art of containing her enthusiasm when love is involved. Because she’s young and energetic, a home with older kids would be ideal — especially the kind who want a backyard buddy to chase, run, and burn off zoomies with. And speaking of zoomies… Cindy Lou absolutely loves Glacier and would thrive with a canine sibling. She would do best in a home with another friendly, confident dog to wrestle, romp, and share adventures with. She’s happiest when she has both her humans and a four-legged best friend by her side. Outdoorsy? Even just a little? Cindy Lou is ready. She’s got that “Where are we going next?” energy wrapped in curiosity and confidence. Ranch walks? Check. Trails? Absolutely. Puddle splashing like it’s an Olympic sport? Gold medalist. Off leash, she checks in beautifully — loyal and tuned in, like she genuinely wants to be part of your team. After spending far too much of her young life in rescue, Cindy Lou is more than ready for the good stuff: A home. A routine. A snack schedule she can rely on. A couch she can dramatically flop onto after a hard day of being adorable. 🌟 Cindy Lou’s Highlights: • 1 year old (DOB 2/24/25) • 60 lbs • Gorgeous Harrier/German Shepherd mix • Great with people & other dogs • Would do best with a canine sibling • Likely best with older kids due to playful energy • Smart, social, affectionate (Velcro level: elite) • Adventure buddy by day, champion snuggler by night If you’re looking for a loyal, lively, backyard-chasing, dog-loving best friend who will fill your days with laughter and your home with joy, Cindy Lou is ready to prance straight into your heart. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org — Cindy Lou is ready to start her forever story with you. 🐾💖
