When Irish eyes are smiling, does that mean they are happy? Or maybe they had too many pints at the pub? My eyes are smiling, and I am a non drinker, just want to have full disclosure here! Even though my eyes were smiling in these pictures. I was desperate for help for my little one, Lewis. You see, he was dying...full of internal and external parasites he really had no fight left in him and I knew it as his mother... so I used my Irish eyes to get us saved. AND IT WORKED!! Our lives are do amazing now, Lewis is alive and well after some very intense care, and ADOPTED INTO AN AMAZING HOME!!! I am not ever producing more babies, so it is all good! Now I get my turn for love, comfort and safety and a FOREVER HOME!! I am an adorable girl, about 50# of low-rider basset/heeler-ness. I am great with other dogs and like to play keep away! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Sally (Ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet.Our sweet girl Tuffy is spayed, had a dental and is ready for a FOREVER HOME! Tuffy is about 7 years old, we don't know for sure. If She came to us in very bad shape and has been recovering from Heartworm. She is now HW free and ready to go!  Tuffy is a sweet girl who doesn't know a stranger. She is definitely a couch potato and will join you on the couch to binge your favorite show! She loves to go for walks but is by no means a speed demon and loves to stop and sniff! She is now house trained also!  Tuffy is not a destructive girl, she is very gentle. Two key points is Tuffy is NOT good with cats or crates. Ideally she could use a home with someone older possibly retired so she doesn't have a lot of alone time. Tuffy is good with other dogs! Tuffys adoption fee is $200 and she is in the Columbus area. Please apply if you are interested in Tuffy at ohiobassetrescue.com and if already approved email us at ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com with your contact info and password.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 12, 2024, 6:16 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Sally (Ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet.Meet our newest OBHR member Tommy! Tommy is a 5 year old basset shar pei mix and will require a home with a fence. His adoption fee is $250 and he is being fostered near Cincinnati.  Can you resist this freckle faced fur baby? Not a chance. Especially after you meet this handsome dude! Tommy was placed with us due to no fault of his own. His family got him as a puppy 5 years ago but it turns out their youngest child is severely allergic. They spent months trying different treatments for her with no success. They were heartbroken to make the decision to surrender and when he was picked up, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Tommy is 5 years old and was cared for on a phenomenal level. He is great with kids of all ages, dogs and even passed meeting cats for the first time with his foster with no incident.   However, he is a bunny annihilator because though he has never tasted one, he heard they taste like chicken. The 2 older children had no problems walking this sweet boy on leash walks and he loves  car rides and toys.   Tommy is a family dog and will do best in a home with kids and is used to a busy schedule. Tommy was crated only as a puppy, is not destructive and does not go potty in the house.  His amber eyes and happy disposition will have you inviting him onto the couch in no time flat. If you think Tommy could be the perfect match to complete your family, adopt him! I promise you won't be disappointed!  Apply for Tommy at ohiobassetrescue.com If already approved email ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com with your contact info and password. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 14, 2024, 8:04 am

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Spot - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hi ya world, let me introduce myself. My name is Spot and I've got lots of those but just one brown one beside my left eye!! I'm a goofball of a youngster who has never met a stranger but is looking for the opportunity to find my bestie. I'm about 8 months, born in December of 2023. I wants to find a loving forever home where I can have more time with my humans or even a doggy sibling. A home where my people are around more, maybe working from home, would be ideal. I'm not fond of being by myself for too long! I'm good with kids and other dogs but other animals are unknown. I knows basic commands like sit, stay, down, leave it, drop it, and I stops and waits to hear the keyword “cross” before crossing the street when on a loose leash walk. And my walks are the highlight of my day! I'm pretty chill when hanging out with my person but am playful when you're ready. I love my toys, napping close by you and romping around with my doggie friends at the park. I come in at around 48lbs, perfection for those adventures we can go on...together!! Big on personality, smart and inquisitive, affectionate and sweet, my oh my I have a boatload of great traits going on, oh and don't forget my stunning good looks, to make me a great family addition, I just need the family...could it be YOUR family?

Story
Beautiful BECCA is big fun in a small package. She's a lively little girl, 2 years old and fully grown at just 22 pounds. She's sweet, friendly and active. With her stunning brown eyes and cheerful disposition, Becca will charm the treats right out of you. Becca appears to be a beagle/jack russell terrier-type mix. Her legs are spring-loaded like a JRT, this girl can JUMP. She just loves to play, loves her toys and treats and people. She's good with other dogs and uninterested in kitties. Becca needs a home with another playful dog, without a playmate she will likely get bored and into some mischief. She will need a securely fenced yard OR she will need to be taken out regularly for leashed walks.  The vertical slat fences that HOA's love will not contain a petite pup like Becca, she can slip right through. Beagles have a bad habit of following their noses into trouble. If you'd like to meet Becca, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter.  All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 14, 2024, 7:14 pm
