WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌟🐾 Meet Gypsy — Short Legs, Big Heart, Still Waiting 💛🐾 Gypsy has been waiting… and waiting… and waiting. And honestly? She’s waited far too long for a girl this special. At 2 years old and 28 pounds, Gypsy is a delightful blend of Cattle Dog smarts and Basset Hound charm — think low-rider body, big-dog energy, and a personality that could light up a room. She’s basically the off-road model of a best friend: compact, sturdy, and always ready for an adventure. Gypsy LOVES her walks and is getting better and better on leash every day. She’s happiest when she’s outside, exploring the yard, supervising chores, or keeping an eye out for squirrels (her self-appointed job, and she takes it very seriously). When playtime winds down, she’s just as content following her favorite human around like a loyal little shadow. She’s playful, affectionate, and full of goofy charm. Toys are fun. Shoelaces are very intriguing. And her signature low-rider zoomies? Absolutely legendary. 🐾 Gypsy’s Highlights: ✅ 2 years old, 28 lbs ✅ Dog-friendly ✅ House & crate trained ✅ Loves walks and outdoor time ✅ Sweet, silly, and full of personality ✅ Equal parts sass, snuggles, and sunshine While Gypsy does great with other dogs, cats are an unknown — mostly because Gypsy believes squirrels are public enemy #1 — so she may prefer a home without feline roommates. What Gypsy really wants, though, isn’t much. She wants a family who will love her quirks, laugh at her goofy legs, and finally give her the forever home she’s been patiently waiting for. She’s ready to be someone’s hiking buddy, couch companion, and daily dose of happiness. 💛 Gypsy has so much love to give — she just needs someone to give her a chance. Short legs. Big heart. Endless loyalty. ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Gypsy finally stop waiting and start living the life she deserves. 🐾💛

Story
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/GUaJg6YKWYU?si=Qf2P8074GlF8kNm- Animal Information: Benny and Ray are 1-year-old Beagle mixes who each weigh about 28 pounds. These sweet, social boys may be a little shy when first meeting new people, but they warm up quickly and are eager to make connections once they feel comfortable. They have been doing well in foster care in Oklahoma and are currently living in a home with both large and small breed dogs. They are learning that the world is a safe place and continue to build confidence each day. Benny and Ray are gentle, friendly dogs who just need a little time and patience to fully blossom. We’re looking forward to meeting them and helping their confidence grow as they prepare for their next chapter with loving families. Foster Profile: Ray is a sweet guy who needs a bit of time to open up and be his sweet goofy shy little hound self. Ray has been opening up more and more each day-- he has a mellow energy level for a one year old hound mix. He enjoys spending time napping by the window, chewing on his rope toy and going for long walks with plenty of time to smell all the smells ( he is a hound after all). Unlike most hounds, he hasn't been especially vocal other than a bit of a whine when first left alone-- he hasn't barked yet!  Ray is house trained and crate trained and the crate is his safe space. He goes straight to his crate when he sees that dinner or treats are on the way. He sleeps the night in the crate too! He likes the crate for when he is feeling overwhelmed and he needs to calm down. He even enjoys napping in the crate in the car! It is important that Ray join a family that is comfortable and supportive of using the crate.   Ray is initially shy of new people, so he will need a patient family who understands about decompression and respecting his boundaries and need for space when he is settling in. He would love to have another confident dog in his forever home to help him build his own confidence and help him be his best self. Ray has not been fostered with cats or kids, so he would need to be cat tested. We will keep you posted about kids, but at the moment we could consider pre teen or teens who are dog respectful. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from our rescue partner Furry Freight in OK. He will be transferred via FurryFreight, arriving to foster care on 03/15/26 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.March 26, 2026, 12:45 am
