Story
Seraphine is a sweet, 4-year-old, 31-pound Shiba Inu blend with a gentle heart and a curious mind. She can be shy in new situations, but with a little patience and a steady routine, she blossoms. She knows basic commands like “sit,” is house trained, dog-door trained, and very food motivated. She may occasionally develop selective hearing when treats are nearby, but she takes rewards very gently and is eager to learn.Seraphine loves chew toys, stuffed animals, and especially water play. Hoses, splash pads, and kiddie pools are her idea of a perfect day. Her foster home has been helping her practice car rides and leash walking, and she is making great progress.Because she gains confidence from other dogs, Seraphine will need a canine sibling in her forever home. She is a bright, inquisitive girl ready for a patient family who will help her feel safe, loved, and at home.To get started in the process for meeting Seraphine, please visit https://azfriends.org/testing/adopt.html to complete an adoption consultation form, then come by the Adoption Center to meet with an adoption counselor. No appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the animal. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)! Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).

Story
Bingham is a 1 year old, 16 pound Pomeranian blend who joined us from a county facility, and he is now looking for his forever home.Bingham is a handsome 1-year-old Pomeranian blend, weighing 16 pounds, who is full of curiosity, personality, and youthful energy. Like many young dogs, he's an active guy who enjoys exploring his surroundings and seeing what the world has to offer.Bingham will spend time happily niffing and investigating his surroundings, taking in all the sights and smells. When it's time to relax, he'll show his affectionate side by snuggling up on the sofa and enjoying some quiet companionship. Bingham can be a little enthusiastic when meeting other dogs and tends to come on strong, so he may do best with canine friends who enjoy playful interactions. A home with a dog who prefers a calm, low-key lifestyle may not be the best fit for him.Because Bingham has shown some sensitivity around having his mouth handled, he is looking for a home with children ages 8 and older who can respect his boundaries and help him feel comfortable. This sweet, energetic boy is ready to find a family that will appreciate his playful spirit, affectionate nature, and unique charm. If you're looking for a loyal companion to share adventures and couch cuddles, Bingham may be the perfect match! To get started in the process of meeting Bingham, please visit https://azfriends.org/testing/adopt.html to complete an adoption consultation form, and then come by the Adoption Center to meet with one of our adoption counselors.
