Foxy may be just 16 pounds, but this black Pomeranian has plenty of personality packed in. She’s sweet, playful, and just sassy enough to live up to her name. Foxy came to us as an owner surrender and is ready to find her next home.
She’s kennel trained, uses a dog door, is good with kids, and is working on potty training. She’s generally good with other dogs but supervised introductions are recommended. Her slightly cloudy eyes don’t slow her down.
Foxy has a lot of charm in a small package. If you like your companions with a playful streak and a little sass, she could be just the girl for you.
Foxy is currently undergoing slow-kill treatment for heartworm disease. The Artemis Project will continue to provide the necessary monthly medication for treatment until cleared of heartworms.

Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas.
We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI.
Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue.
Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee.

Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications.
The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport.
