🌸 Meet Tillie! 🌸 Tillie is the sweetest little lady you could ever meet! Estimated to be between 10 and 12 years old, this charming senior was found as a stray but has settled right in like she’s always belonged. Tillie is fearless, friendly, and perfectly social — she gets along with everyone she meets, including kids, dogs, and cats. She’s quiet most of the time, but when it’s walk time, she’ll let you know with a cheerful bark to remind you to get moving! She is independent and not needy but she loves to cuddle. The back of the couch is her domain. She’s fully potty trained and has a lovely, easygoing temperament that would fit beautifully into just about any home. She takes herself out with the doggie door. Tillie is an AMAZING foster dog and the most easy going dog you could ask for. Tillie does have a grade 4 heart murmur and is on 1.25 twice a day of Vetmedin. She takes her pill like a champ. Due to her heart condition, she is not able to get spayed. We did take a risk with surgery to do a dental as she was in pain from her rotten mouth. We don't want to take that risk again, even though she did great. Story
Opportunity Arises (OA) is a mellow, gentle soul who is just beginning to discover how wonderful life can be outside of a breeding facility. True to his nickname, OA loves relaxing in his favorite spot by the fireplace and enjoys the calm companionship of his foster dog friend, Willy. OA is learning all sorts of “dog things” for the very first time. He happily goes outside and has even started doing a cute little twirl when he hears, “Do you want to go outside?” He follows Willy’s lead, though coming back inside is still a work in progress—and that’s okay. Everything is new to him. He eats twice a day with no food aggression, is gentle with his toys, and has been perfect in the house so far—no accidents at all! OA is quiet and docile; his foster has only heard him bark a couple of times, and only while outside. As he gains confidence, we believe he’ll show more of his playful side. Because OA is a retired breeding dog, life in a home is brand new. Stairs, leashes, potty training, and fast-moving objects can be scary for him. He currently will do 2 stairs to go outside but can not do a flight of stairs. He is not leash trained at all and at 31 pounds, he may need to be carried. He is making progress, but patience and understanding will be key as he continues to adjust. OA will require another dog in the home to help guide him and give him confidence, as well as a securely fenced yard. A calm, predictable environment will help him blossom into the sweet companion he’s meant to be. We have not seen him around cats. OA has only been out of the breeding facility for a short time, but his gentle heart is already shining through.
