Story
Guinness is a 6 year old male brindle Pomeranian who weighs about 13lbs. Guinness is a sweet boy who seems to have a traumatic past. He has significant scarring on his shoulder, suggesting that he may have been attacked by a much larger dog at some point. Regardless of the specifics, whatever happened has caused Guinness to strongly dislike being picked up, though he loves attention. He loves sitting in your lap and giving kisses. He listens pretty well and is very quiet for a Pomeranian. Guinness is treat motivated and does great in a crate and in the car. He walks well on a leash but a fenced yard is required because it will take a while to get him to accept wearing a harness. Guinness was successfully groomed, but it took two visits and several medications. We are hopeful that with more time and exposure, he won't hate it as much. While medicated, we were able to pick him up several times with no growling. He is mostly potty trained, but could use additional training. He gets along with most other dogs. Guinness needs a Pomeranian savvy home with a fenced yard and no children. Please email dancersbridgedogrescue@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting Guinness. 🥰

Story
Juju is a 4-year-old miniature American Shepherd and American Eskimo mix who weighs about 22 lb. This mixture of breeds, confirmed by DNA test, supports what we have seen while Juju has been in our care. While Juju is very high energy and requires a lot of physical/mental stimulation, he is also highly trainable and enjoys learning new things. In JuJu's current foster home, he enjoys long distance (2-5 miles) walks daily, as well as other outdoor activities such as swimming, hiking, and playing with his herding ball. He also has puzzle toys to play with, which are especially important on rainy days. Juju needs a very active home who is willing and able to maintain this level of physical and mental stimulation for Juju. Juju has been living with a cat. When they first met, Juju tried to herd the cat but now they are friends who cuddle and groom each other. Juju will require regular brushing and grooming as he has a double coat. Juju enjoys car rides. Juju gets along with other dogs but is not always interested in playing with them. Juju is potty trained and crate trained. He walks very well on a leash. Juju is very anxious in some situations including vet visits. A fenced yard is required and any children in the home must be at least 12 years old. Please email dancersbridgedogrescue@gmail.com if you are interested in applying to adopt Juju. 🥰
