He is scheduled to travel to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue onSaturday, 10/10 and needs a FOSTER or ADOPTER to make the trip.Meet GusGus is a sweet little guy who is ready for a fresh start and the chance to discover what life is likein a loving home. At 5 years old, Gus has spent a significant portion of his life in an overcrowdedenvironment with many other dogs, and he will have a lot of new experiences ahead of him.Gus will likely be shy and unsure when he first arrives. After living in the same overcrowdedenvironment for so long, the sights, sounds, people, and routines of a new home may beoverwhelming at first. He will need reassurance, patience, and plenty of time tolearn that he is safe. With consistency and love, we hope to see this sweet boy gain confidenceand begin to enjoy all the things he has been missing.Gus will also need help adjusting to the basics of being a house dog. Potty training, cratetraining, and leash walking are unknown, so his foster or adopter should be prepared topatiently teach him these skills. He has lived with many other dogs and may benefit from havinga friendly, confident dog around as he adjusts to his new life.Gus is looking for someone who understands that earning his trust may take time.
