With over 60 dogs on the property, Paxon didn’t get the chance to just be a dog. But look at him now. 💫 With patience, consistency, and compassion, Paxon has blossomed into a sweet, silly boy who loves being petted, enjoys his walks, and happily plays like the dog he was always meant to be. Watching him learn to trust and open his heart has been one of the many reminders of why we do what we do. Paxon gets along well with other small dogs and would thrive in a home that understands that love sometimes takes time — and is so worth the wait. Our medical team does everything they can to ensure the health of our dogs before they are placed up for adoption, which includes (but is not limited to): - Vaccinations against Parvovirus, Distemper, Adenovirus and Parainfluenza (all dogs have at least 2 of these vaccines, puppies at least 3) - Vaccination against Bordetella and Leptospirosis - Vaccination against Rabies (dogs 5+ months) - Negative test (Idexx Snap 4Dx) for Heartworm, Lyme's disease, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis (for adult dogs) - Recent full panel blood test (value $150+) for all adult dogs - Micro-chip with life long registration without additional costs - Deworming (roundworms, hookworms, whipworms and tapeworms) - Treatment with Bravecto against fleas and ticks Of course, ALL our dogs are spayed or neutered before going to their new home.
