Story
Jasmine is one of fourteen dogs we welcomed into Family Dog Rescue from a heartbreaking hoarding situation. Despite everything she’s been through, this young Poodle–Terrier mix is showing us, in her own quiet way, just how much resilience and sweetness she has inside. Jasmine is sloooooowly coming out of her shell — and every tiny step forward feels like a victory. She’s still learning that people are safe. Right now, she doesn’t quite approach on her own and will scamper off if she feels unsure. But here’s the beautiful part: if you sit quietly and give her space, she’ll start sniffing around, curiosity getting the best of her. She even comes up to nudge your feet to invite play — she’s just not ready for pets yet. And that’s okay. She’s getting there. She eats great, loves her treats (even if she’s still building confidence taking them from your hand), and absolutely adores her crate and cozy dog beds — they make her feel safe and secure. Having a little sanctuary of her own is important to her. Where Jasmine truly lights up is with other dogs. She loves to play! Watching her romp around with her foster sibling and chew on her toys is when her joyful, puppy personality shines through. A confident, friendly dog in her forever home will help her continue to blossom. She’s learning her potty routine and has already started going outside, though she’s still figuring things out and may use a pee pad or rug occasionally. She’ll thrive with patience, consistency, and positive, reward-based training. Jasmine will need a calm, understanding home willing to move at her pace — but the reward will be incredible. Beneath that timid exterior is a playful, loving little soul just waiting to feel fully safe. Her foster sees it, and we do too: the potential in this girl is endless. 💫 If you believe in the magic of watching a shy dog bloom, Jasmine may be your girl.

Story
Fourteen small dogs are beginning fresh chapters after being rescued together from a heartbreaking hoarding situation in Stockton, where more than 30 dogs were living in severe neglect and unsanitary conditions. These precious pups — a mix of Maltese mixes, Chihuahua mixes, and Terrier mixes — have endured far more than any dog ever should. Many arrived with severe matting and painful urine burns, and we’re getting them all to the groomer to finally feel clean, comfortable, and cared for. Beneath it all, they are truly gorgeous little souls. Understandably, this transition is overwhelming for them. They’re a bit scared and unsure right now — but even through the fear, their sweetness and gentle nature shine through. They lean in for affection, accept love, and remind us just how resilient dogs can be. These babies will need patient, compassionate homes where they can decompress, feel safe, and learn that the world can be kind. In return, they’ll offer deep gratitude, quiet companionship, and the kind of love that only a survivor can give. If you’re looking to make a life-changing difference — for them and for you — one of these little ones may be waiting just for you.

Story
Scrappy and Peter are two irresistibly adorable Cairn Terrier–Poodle mix brothers who were found dumped in Tulare County. Despite their rough start, these little boys are as sweet as can be and ready to start their next chapter with loving families. This unique mix blends the best of both breeds. From their Cairn Terrier side, they bring confidence, curiosity, and a playful, spirited personality. Cairns are known for being bold little adventurers with big hearts. From their Poodle roots, they inherit intelligence, loyalty, and that people-focused devotion that makes them wonderful companions. Poodle mixes are often quick learners and thrive when engaged with their humans — and these boys are no exception. Scrappy and Peter are: • Affectionate and people-oriented • Playful, bouncy, and full of puppy joy • Smart and eager to learn • Great candidates for training, hiking buddies, and active homes They adore attention, love to explore, and then happily settle in for snuggles. As puppies, they will need continued structure, socialization, and positive reinforcement training to grow into confident, well-mannered adult dogs — but their sweet temperaments and bright minds will make that journey a rewarding one. These brothers have already proven how resilient they are. Now they just need families who will give them the security, love, and stability they deserve. Scrappy and Peter are ready to fill your home with laughter, loyalty, and lots of tail wags. 💛

Story
Salem is a beautiful young Poodle mix with a stunning coat, soulful eyes, and a gentle, thoughtful spirit. True to his breed mix, he’s intelligent, sensitive, and deeply loyal — the kind of dog who forms a strong bond with his people and thrives on connection. He enjoys affection and will happily accept pets, tummy rubs, and close contact (including face and paws). Salem is building confidence every day and does best with calm, respectful handling. Salem is best suited for a home with older children that can more easily understand a dog's boundaries with handling. He walks nicely on leash and already responds to cues like “With Me” and “Touch,” showing off his smarts and eagerness to learn. Salem is social and playful with other dogs — both big and small — and enjoys appropriate play at the dog park. He would likely thrive in a home with another friendly canine companion. He rides calmly in the car and has taken many trips successfully. Salem prefers not to be lifted unexpectedly or squeezed into tight spaces, but with mindful handling he settles in just fine. Salem is a wonderful blend of brains, beauty, and heart. In the right home — one that offers patience, structure, and love — he will blossom into an incredibly devoted companion. He is neutered and up to date on all vaccines.
