Hi.  I don't have a last name, and my story didn't start in a cozy place - but it's getting better.  Not long ago, I was living on the streets.  I'm one of the lucky ones.  I was rescued and fostered by kind humans that fed me, socialized me and made me feel safe.  I do have a special need to take medicine everyday for acid reflux, like a Pepcid AC.  You know how it is.  I'm also FIV positive, which means I have feline AIDs, from bite wounds that I received living on the streets.  Feline AIDS is not a death sentence.  It does weaken my immune system, but it cannot be passed on to humans and with normal care, I'm able to live a long and healthy life.  Now I'm ready.  I'm ready for a forever home with a loving family.      If you're looking for a companion, a quiet presence, a playful friend, or a soft purr at the end of a long day......  I might be the one you've been waiting for.      Love,   Laddie Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2026, 1:20 pm

My mother rescued Midnight's mother about 8 years ago. I believe Midnight is close to 7 years old. Sadly, my mother passed away recently, and it is necessary to rehome Midnight, his mother Katniss (who is also listed on this site) and also another of her rescue cats, Princess (who is also listed on this site). It is not necessary for the cats to remain together. I maintained my mother's residence and have taken care of the cats for a while since her death, but it is no longer feasible to do so. The new tenant is not interested in adopting the cats and while I have adopted many rescue pets, I am unable to keep Midnight at this time. Midnight has been both an inside and an outside cat. He usually stays to himself in creative hiding spots but is friendly. He has been seen at Bay Animal Clinic in Fairhope, AL but his shots are likely not up to date. If adopted I will consider covering the vet bill for his checkup and shots.
