Story
Rue is a friendly cat and gets along with dogs/cats. He is very social but would prefer older kids. Our toddler is a little too much for him and I’m pregnant again which has caused him stress. We took him to the vet to ensure he is healthy, had his blood checked, physical, etc. they said, he was very healthy and that it would just be behavioral issues with the toddler who is very active. He does need to eat a fish based food without chicken or chicken meal. He is allergic to chicken. While he is a very smart cat he does prefer to be with his owner. Rue wins the hearts of everyone he comes around but for our family it is not a good match. We have large dogs and another senior cat which he gets along with. We would like to re-home him and allow him to live out his life in a comfortable environment where he is not stressed out. Thank you for consider Rue to be apart of your family! His birthday is June 2015

Story
This handsome boy was trapped by well meaning people. They asked for us to help with him and he looked so pitiful that we could not turn him down. As it turns out, he must have been hit by a car because he has a broken pelvis. Doctors said it would heal on it's own. We just have to keep him quiet and confined which is so hard for a playful kitten. He purrs and loves his foster parents and soon will be able to play with the other kittens in the home. Doc says he may get arthritus where the break was when he gets older, otherwise he seems purrfectly healthy.  Merlyn needs and extra special, calm and loving home. Please remember: Unless otherwise specified, all our kittens and cats are strictly indoor pets. If you’re interested in adoption, please visit straylovefoundation.org and complete an adoption application. Every rescue in our care receives comprehensive vetting, which includes: A combo test Deworming Spay/neuter procedures Vaccinations Microchipping We take every possible step to ensure their health and happiness, giving them the best chance at a long, fulfilling life. While we do everything in our power to provide healthy rescues, it's important to note that some animals may have genetic health conditions we cannot predict (since we don’t have their family history). Additionally, medical tests—though highly reliable—can occasionally yield false negatives. Unexpected health issues may arise, either before or after adoption, but thanks to our thorough vetting process, the likelihood of a long and healthy life is very high. Additional adoption details: Transportation fees, if applicable, vary based on distance and expenses. Home checks may be conducted. Our standard tax-deductible adoption donation is $168. For special breeds, uniquely colored, or exceptionally adorable rescues, we may request a higher donation to help cover vet expenses. Can't adopt? Consider donating, sponsoring, or volunteering! Every form of support makes a difference. Tax-deductible donations can be made via PayPal using info@straylovefoundation.org, or by clicking the donate button on our: Facebook page Website homepage at www.straylovefoundation.org October 19, 2025, 10:57 pm
