Dayna has osteochondrodysplasia, a condition affecting cartilage formation. Scottish Fold cats with this disease have a dominant gene mutation altering type II collagen production. This has caused her to have a thick, inflexible tail and some limb deformities. She experiences chronic pain and arthritis, which are managed with medication.

She had a rough start in life, living in squalor and fighting for food. When she came to us she was shut down and suffering from mites. After treatment she looks a lot better and has regained some personality, but it may take a little more time before she trusts humans again. Marilyn is a beautiful black and white tuxedo cat with a beauty mark on her face, hence the name. She's not quite long haired but she's got a bit of extra fluff on her tail. She is pretty shy and doesn't know what to make of humans at the moment but we hope with some patience and TLC she will come around.
