Meet Ruby Rue
Ruby Rue is a stunning 5-year-old long-haired tuxedo with an unforgettable presence. Her fierce expression is softened by the beauty of her deep golden eyes—big, round, and glowing like full moons. She's the kind of cat who turns heads without even trying.
Ruby is a quiet soul who finds happiness in life's simple comforts. A cardboard scratcher is her favorite throne, and you'll often find her nestled beside a sunny window, completely absorbed in bird-watching. Sunbeams seem to seek her out, warming her beautiful black-and-white coat until she drifts into long, peaceful naps.
She isn't a cat who demands constant attention. Ruby simply enjoys sharing space with someone she trusts. Having a kind, calm human nearby is often enough to make her feel content. When she chooses to accept affection, she'll happily lean into gentle scratchies—but she prefers to decide when those moments happen.
Don't expect Ruby to chase every toy across the room. She has her own way of having fun. Every so often, she'll surprise you with a burst of joyful zoomies, racing through the house with wide, playful eyes, reminding everyone that beneath her dignified exterior is a kitten still waiting to come out.
Ruby Rue is more than a beautiful face. She's a cat who needs patience, understanding, and a safe place where she can truly be herself. She won't give her heart away to just anyone—but for the person willing to let her bloom at her own pace, the bond will be something truly special.
Maybe you're the one she's been waiting for. Maybe you're the person she'll finally let into her world. Apply to adopt Felicity today.

Ruby Rue has been in a foster home with multiple other young and older kitties. She would do well going into a home with no other pets or with another cat or kitten. With the right family who will give her the love she needs. Ruby Rue has never met a dog, but with slow introductions to a patient, cat-savvy dog we think she could learn to love a new pup sibling.
Ruby is approximately 5 years old, spayed, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. She does a great job of keeping her litterbox tidy.. all she needs now is a forever home!
The adoption application can be found here:

Ruby is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes.

ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES:
Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and transportation costs. Also, when you adopt from ROSES Rescues, youre doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee sponsors a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts!
