Once upon a time, I mysteriously appeared in someone’s backyard. My new friends thought I surely had a home because I was so friendly. They gave me a snack, expecting me to head back to wherever I came from. I didn't. Instead, I hung around, politely letting them know that I was done with the whole “big bad outside world” thing. They scooped me up, got me vetted, and now I’m happily living the foster life while I wait for my forever couch… I mean, home. I’m a big boy with big paws and big boy cheeks that were clearly designed for maximum scritches. I love sitting in laps during your favorite shows, giving headbutts, and soaking up cheek rubs like the spoiled house cat I was always meant to be. DREAMILY LOOKS UP INTO YOUR EYES  DOB 8/7/22 Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Alice, a sweet, curious, playful Turkish Van mix gal who’s mostly white with gray tabby on my head and tail. Everyone falls in love with me when my beautiful face stares up into their eyes. I love food, love to play, and love to investigate my surroundings. I was rescued by a kind woman who found me and my sisters Tris, Lucy, and Victoria as orphaned kittens when we were so young that we needed to be bottle-fed. Once we were eating on our own, our tenderhearted future Foster Meowmy responded to the plea on the HOPE FaceBook page that we needed someone to foster us until we were adopted. She brought us to our foster home, where we enjoy tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling with each other until we collapse in a kitten puddle. I’m a happy girl whose life is a repeated cycle of play-sleep-eat. Since we were bottle-fed and familiar with being handled by hoomans, we’ve always been very friendly and sociable – even with strangers. In fact, we come out to meet visitors! Although we haven’t been around kids in our foster home, I’m sure we’d be fine with well-mannered children because we’ve been very comfortable around the Great Pyrenees dog (I really bonded to him.) and the other resident cats. These kitties have acted like aunts and uncles who've taught us everything that our momma would've taught us if she'd been around. COMES UP TO GREET YOU AND INVITE YO TO PICK HIM UP  DOB 7/1/24 Hey there, everyone! I’m Domino, a super sweet, friendly, and affectionate Turkish Van mix fella who loves to come up and greet my hoomans. Like most Turkish Vans, I’m mostly white with black mainly on my head and tail. The Turks would call the large black spot on my right shoulder the fingerprint of Allah. What can I say but that I’m blessed? I’m one of the few kitties who actually adores being held, so when I approach my favorite hoomans, I’m inviting them to pick me up and shower me with attention. On New Year’s Day, when I was about six months old, Foster Meowmy found my buddy Daisy and me abandoned in a cat bed on the curb in her neighborhood. Boy howdy! We were relieved that Foster Meowmy brought us to the safe haven of her home. Sharing rejection by our first owner has made Daisy and me very close. On the other hand, I’m not holding my first caretaker’s heartlessness against all hoomans. My unabashed friendliness and liking to be picked up easily demonstrate my resilience.
