Meet Bubbles! True to her name, Bubbles has an outgoing and bubbly personality. She's all about having fun and meeting new people and dogs! Despite being a tripod with only three working legs, Bubbles doesn't let that slow her down one bit. The reason behind her missing leg is a mystery, and she's not sharing any details, so we're leaving the past behind and looking forward to her bright future with her new family! FOSTERS' NOTES: When Bubbles came to UAF her left leg was amputated below the knee, she looked awkward walking, and the vet said she'd do much better with a complete amputation. We had her for a couple of days before her operation to get to know her and her sweet and happy personality was obvious immediately. We picked her up in the afternoon at the vet and as she was walked out by the vet tech she was wagging her tail! What an amazing girl. Her recovery was quick and all went perfectly and today she can do anything a dog should do and isn't handicapped in any way. She stands at the door when she needs to go out, seldom barks, loves to go on walks, and does well on a leash although gets a little excited sometimes. She's very polite and gentle with her food and gets along perfectly with our 2 dogs. She just wants to be in the room with you and loves to snuggle up on the couch and will give you a little nibble if she wants some attention. She sleeps in her crate at night and would gladly sleep on the bed if allowed. She's good with children and rides well in the car. Bubbles is going to make a wonderful companion for a lucky family or dog lover. Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard. If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home.
