Meet Bella This beautiful 4-year-old Shar Pei mix weighs about 47 lbs and has a gentle soul that’s just waiting for the right person to help her shine. Shelter life has made Bella a little unsure right now, so she may seem timid at first. But if you go slow and give her a little time, you’ll see her sweet personality begin to bloom. Once Bella starts to feel comfortable, she seeks out affection and enjoys being close to her people. She’s also discovered that toys can be pretty fun! And if you really want to win her over, tasty snacks and treats are definitely one way to her heart. Bella is a lovely girl inside and out who just needs a patient, kind home where she can feel safe and loved. Adoptions are free and include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Story
Arwin’s journey has been anything but easy, but this sweet girl is still full of love to give. She first came to us the day we reopened the shelter in February, and although she was adopted once, she sadly had to be returned in May. At only 2 years old, Arwin has spent far too much time in the shelter, and she’s ready to leave this chapter behind. When Arwin first arrived, she was terrified and trembled constantly, but over time, she’s grown more confident and comfortable in our care. She’s a stunning Shar Pei mix who is deeply loyal and protective of the people she loves. This protective nature is part of what makes Arwin so special—but it’s also why she was returned. She needs an experienced owner who understands guardian breeds and can give her the guidance she needs. Arwin would do best in an adult-only home with no young children. She will need to meet any potential dog siblings before adoption to ensure a good match. We offer trial adoptions so you can spend time getting to know Arwin before making your final decision. At just 2 years old, Arwin still has a lifetime of love and companionship to give. She’s been with us for far too long, and while we adore her, we’re afraid she’s being overlooked. Could you be the perfect match? Her adoption fee is $0.

Ellie, Mozzorellie, or NFL linebacker are just a few of her names came to us after quite the heist of sneaking out of another shelter and going on an adventure for months. Ellie arrived unsure, overstimulated, planning the next big escape, and not sold that people are actually nice. Over the past year at SOAR, she’s shown incredible progress in all ways. Ellie has never one time had an accident in her room, appears dog friendly, loves all people big and small, but we’re unsure on cats. Ellie is all about speed and playing chicken, she’ll run full steam ahead and ditch at the last second leaving you with soiled undies and a muscle cramp from bracing for impact. You WON’T find better forehead wrinkles, not even at a nursing home. The perfect home for Ellie would be active, older or no children, only dog or bigger dog friends, and if adopting to a house will minimally need a 6ft fully-fenced back yard.
