Dirk is a young, gentle-hearted pup who is looking for a calm and patient family to call his own. He’s incredibly sweet and has the softest soul—you can see it in his eyes and feel it in his snuggles. While he’s still a bit nervous around new people and situations, Dirk is getting braver every day. With a little time and TLC, this silly boy is sure to blossom into the confident companion he’s meant to be.Dirk adores other dogs and comes alive when he’s playing with his furry friends or chasing after toys. Cats? Well, they’re a little spooky right now—but we think with some guidance, he’ll come to see them as the small, curious friends they are.Once Dirk feels safe, he’s the ultimate snuggle buddy—loyal, loving, and ready to curl up beside you for a nap or quiet evening at home. Meet Winnie, a 55 pound Shar Pei/Pit mix. Winnie is a homebody who loves to snuggle up on the couch with her people. We joke that she didn’t get the personal space gene when they were giving it out. Winnie has a sweet temperament, loves a good belly rub and a warm bask in the sun. She also loves her toys! You can catch her nibbling them endlessly, but don’t be fooled by her love of the soft ones; she loves gnawing on hard Nylabones as well.   Winnie will do best in a home with a fenced in yard where she is the only dog. She has never been introduced to cats or very small children, so we don’t know her reaction to them. “Win” will be a great win for the right family! Currently located at our Chrisney, IN location Meet Chevelle! This  Shar Pei mix may only weigh around 30 lbs, but she’s packed with personality. Chevelle absolutely adores people and greets everyone like a long-lost friend. Her small stature makes her the perfect size for just about any home, but don’t be fooled—this girl has a BIG heart and an even bigger personality! Chevelle would love to meet any potential dog siblings before going home, so a meet and greet is recommended. If you're looking for a spunky, lovable companion, Chevelle is ready to be your new best friend! If interested in Chevelle, submit an application at ITVrescue.org.
