Story
Ghostly Energy came to us from a kill shelter in Indiana. This is a nice, friendly boy who is good with people & other dogs. He is very sweet, happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building. His approx. birth date is 01/01/23 and he currently weighs 45#. This guy has lots of energy. Ideally he goes with someone who wants to exercise him and has dog handling skills. He can be too intense for some dogs and will not be placed with children. He has been vet. checked, neutered, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. He is also heart worm negative. His adoption donation is $300 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. There is a 3% processing fee when using a debit/credit card. We do not ship or transport. Please email for an application if you would like to provide this nice kid with his forever home. ##1774367##

Story
*** To alleviate the need to bring an animal into the shelter environment, The Anti-Cruelty Society has the Home-to-Home Shelter Bypass service to help people find new accommodations for their pets privately. These animals are not located in any of the Society`s physical locations. If you are interested in adopting this animal, please do NOT click the Adopt Me button and instead reach out to the current owner directly via the email provided in the profile. As this is a Home-to-Home animal you are not required to fill out an Anti-Cruelty Society adoption application form. *** The animal’s behavior around other pets; Mia loves to play with other dogs and is generally submissive toward them. She will thrive in a house with other dogs. She has only been around cats sparingly (in my experience) and seems to be curious but fine. The animal’s behavior around children; Mia is very anxious around children. Since I adopted her (around age 3) she has shown a general anxiety and fear around kids that we have not been able to calm. This is the reason we are looking to rehome her - we`ve had a daughter that Mia can`t get comfortable around, particularly as the daughter starts walking.Any past or existing health issues that the animal has had; general allergies, otherwise very healthyAny medication the animal may currently be taking; noneAny dietary restrictions that the animal may have; nonThe animal’s training history (especially whether or not the animal is housebroken); Housebroken, crate trained, very good walker, very food motivated. For adoption information, please email ben@hftd.org

Story
Bane is a calm Shar pei who takes a minute to open up, but once he does he’ll give you the random zoomies and paw taps to your leg for attention. Bane likes getting out into the yard and circling the perimeter to make sure there is no unwelcome guests (cats) in his property. Although he can be a drooler, it’s to be expected with those lovely cheeks.  Must have fence. Feed separate or supervised.   If you are interested in Bane please fill out an adoption application at: https://www.dogsaredeservingrescue.com/adoptAugust 29, 2025, 3:11 pm

Miss Honey is living in a foster home. Fill out our quick adoption survey to learn more about her and schedule an introduction. Miss Honey is: Spayed: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized More about Miss Honey: Housebroken: Yes! Crate trained: She has done well with free roam when home alone for up to 5 hours, as well as overnight Leash walking: She has shown some reactivity toward other dogs she sees on walks, and would benefit from continuing to work on this Dog social: Miss Honey does not like to share her belongings so needs to be the only dog in the home. Cat social: She has done well with a dog-savvy cat after a slow intro Kid-friendly: Miss Honey is a better match for older kids as she can be jumpy and mouthy when excited. Miss Honey likes: - Watching TV with you - Enjoying the sunshine - Cuddling up in some cozy blankets with her stuffed dino - Laying her head in your lap Miss Honey is the absolute best girl! She loves hard, and she will follow you all over the house, just wanting to be close to her people at all times. She plays hard, too! She loves to run around the yard and play tug with her people... but only for like 20 minutes and then it's time for a nap. She snuggles hard, and loves to park herself on the couch and get as much of her body on your body as she can. She's friendly with every person she meets and within moments of greeting you she'll show you her belly for rubs and will give you the sweetest, most gentle kisses if you'll let her. She would appreciate an adopter who can help her channel her energy in positive ways when she becomes overstimulated, to avoid mouthing and jumping behaviors. Miss Honey has been taking behavior support medication to aid in her training goals. Miss Honey's adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous supporter. Next steps: Email adopt@onetail.org with questions, or submit an application online and we'll be in touch to schedule a meeting: https://www.onetail.org/apply-to-adopt/ *** Our adoption application stays on file for one year and can apply to any dog in our program. Once the app is submitted you will receive an email within 48-72 hours. For additional questions, email adopt@onetail.org ***
