- A big lover who seeks out attention but is also happy to do his own thing; a very kind boy - Likes toys a lot and entertains himself well on his own if you're busy- Knows sit and shake and likes treats - Appears to be potty trained here in the shelter; just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new routine - Can be very uncomfortable around other dogs and needs to be the only dog in his new home; also may not be interested in having other dog friends - May have allergies (more info at ARL) The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. Primary Color: Black Weight: 66.6 Age: 2yrs 6mths 3wks

She is very protective of her home and her people, and she is looking for a home where she can be the only dog.Zoe is:• Affectionate, snuggly, and loves belly rubs• Protective of her home and family• Housetrained and good with kids and cats• Accustomed to a routine with meals at 2pm each day• Managed for mild allergies with BenadrylBecause she is very strong and protective, Zoe requires a sturdy and secure enclosure when outdoors. Indoors, she is allowed on the furniture but typically needs to be settled in a separate space when company visits. She grew up with other dogs and kids and is used to free-feeding with occasional snacks and canned food. Meet Huckleberry! If you`re looking for a big, lovable companion with a heart to match his size, Huckleberry might be your perfect guy! This sweet boy is all about affection, and one of his favorite things in the world is a good butt scratch. Give him some attention, and you`ll quickly see just how loving and gentle he is.Huckleberry is a calm and well-mannered resident at the rescue. He keeps his kennel clean, isn`t destructive, and is perfectly content lounging on his bed while watching the world go by. He has an easygoing nature that makes him a pleasure to be around.When he`s out in the play runs, Huckleberry can be a little vocal when he`d like another dog to come run and play with him. However, we haven`t had the opportunity to thoroughly test him with other dogs yet, so any canine siblings will need to meet him before adoption. We are also unsure how he does with cats or children at this time. As with all of our dogs, Huckleberry must meet all human and furry family members prior to adoption to ensure it`s a great fit for everyone.Huckleberry already knows how to walk nicely on a leash and enjoys getting out for walks. Like many enthusiastic dogs, he may pull occasionally when he gets excited, but overall he does very well.With his sweet personality, calm demeanor, and endless supply of love to give, Huckleberry is ready to find a family of his own.
