Story
Echo came into our rescue after surviving a very rough start as a former bait dog, arriving in terrible condition. Since then, he has truly blossomed into a big-hearted, affectionate boy who loves people.Echo would do best with a semi-active family and would especially enjoy having older kids to play with. While he is gentle and would never intentionally hurt small children, his playful enthusiasm could accidentally knock little ones over. Echo is ready to leave his past behind and can't wait to find a loving home to call his own. Story
This sweet Texas pup has a heart as big as the Lone Star State. With warm, soulful eyes and a tail that never stops wagging. She is gentle, loyal, and full of affection. Skye will be a loving companion and is ready to trade the kennel life for a forever home filled with kindness and comfort. All she needs is a family to give her a chance and work with her, In return she'll repay it with a lifetime of devotion.Foster insights/story: When I picked up Skye from the shelter, she was very very timid and didn't trust anyone. She is protective of her environment and will bark at people she has never met. She always looks up at me for approval for them to pet her. Once you get her trust she is the most loving and gentle baby. She likes to lick to let you know she loves you!!! She really enjoys being outside and playing. Story
Hi… I’m Toffee 🤍 I came very close to the end once. Closer than I ever want to be again. But somehow, I was saved just in time… and now, I’m here, waiting for something I’ve never truly had before. A family. You might notice me right away. I’m a little different from most Shar Peis—my fur is fuller, softer… they say I look a bit like a bear. With my wrinkles and gentle appearance, I may seem strong on the outside, but inside, I’m calm and steady. I don’t bark much. I don’t rush. I like to take things slowly, quietly… especially when I’m somewhere new. I do love food though—maybe a little too much 😊 But that also means I enjoy learning. I already understand simple things like “sit,” and I try my best to listen. If you guide me with patience (and maybe a treat or two), I’ll follow you well. There are still things I need to learn. Living in a home… potty training… understanding daily routines—these are all new to me. I might not get everything right at first, but if you teach me step by step, I’ll keep trying. One thing about me is… when I bond with someone, I bond deeply. At first, I might be a little cautious. In a new place, with new people, I need time to understand that I’m safe… and that you are my person. So instead of reaching for me right away, it would mean a lot if you could wait—just a little—until I come to you. And I will. Because once I open my heart, I give you my trust, my loyalty, my whole self. If you’re someone who can go slowly with me, who understands that real connection takes time, then I promise… I will become your most loyal companion, your quiet strength, your steady, loving presence. I’ve been given a second chance at life. Now I’m just hoping… it leads me to you. Will you be my forever family? 🤍
