Hi my name is Mick. I am about a year old shar pei mix weighing in about 40lbs. I have not had a good upbringing. I was found on the side of the road eating deer carcass at a young age. I came up to my foster home when I was about 7 months old.  I am a great protector. I am housetrained. I am working hard on crate training and ever since my bed and blanket have been put into the crate, I sleep in it all night with the door still open. I am working hard on leash training since I do pull a lot.    Things that I love? Playing with my foster brother, sitting next to the heat, sticking my tongue out, my fenced in backyard to get out some of my puppy energy (although not neccessary), and food. I am very food motivated which is making training come pretty easy. I am super smart and adorable.  I am looking for a very patient adopter who understands that it takes some time to trust humans. Once I warm up to you, I will be your best buddy!  I need someone who is willing to continue all the things I am learning from my trainer. I also need a home with no young kids please. They make me nervous. Older kids that respect my space are ok. I would also love an active family. I can be with other dogs but need very slow introductions to them.  Are you the patient, loving family I am looking for? ##2541450##

Hi Maddie - some pictures of Manny.   Hi - I’m Manny! I just turned 1 and I’m looking for my forever person. I need a special, patient person who can look past my fear to get to know the real me. See I wasn’t socialized as a puppy and didn’t meet a lot of people or go to new places. Plus I’m part Shar Pei, so it’s in my nature to be a bit wary of strangers. I took a chance and trusted my foster mom and she’s been trying to help me learn that people aren’t all bad. It’s hard to change, but I’m really smart and working hard.   My foster mom says that the real me is a sweet cuddle bug who loves  my people intensely. I love other dogs and enjoy playing and wrestling. I like to chase balls, chew on bones and am highly treat motivated. I am crate trained and house trained and go to the door when I want to go out.    I am a work in progress and have the capacity to be a really great companion for someone who is willing to give me the time to trust. I act super tough and scary sometimes, but it’s just a front, I’m a total marshmallow on the inside! Because of my energy and fear I would be best in an adult only home and am probably not the best fit for a first time dog owner. I would love to share a home with another dog who loves to play.   Could you be the special person I need? ##2541453##

Who's better than the rest-y? That's right, it's me, Betsy! I am a cool Chinese Shar-Pei mixed female with a Tuxedo colored coat and white socks! My facial features even have a cool black and white coloring to them too! I was rescued from a bad hoarding situation alongside my siblings, thing's weren't looking good for us. But our big-hearted rescuers saved us and got us on the road to better care and living great lives! Betsy likes to chew on big bones, occasionally wiggle her ears around, and bark at squirrels. Now we're on our way to finding our forever homes. Learning how to socialize with other dogs, take walks, and play fetch with a ball. Stay tuned for more updates on my journey! Have you ever heard on the TV, well a hoarder's house has been raided and ... animals have been seized and sent to the pound or rescue organizations in the area.... WELL, we are FROM just that kind of situation :( The good thing is we were SAVED... the bad thing is that we had to ENDURE the neglect and disgusting home. The BEST thing is we were ALL SAVED by a rescue group who REFUSED to leave even ONE behind...... 30 dogs/pups ALL AT ONCE has been taxing and motivating for the rescuers. If you watch our video, the situation was very very challenging but our rescuers worked their butts off to save us. We are almost all ready for adoption, all the pups are social and ready for their furever homes! The young adults and adults are a little more shy but have been working really hard with our rescuers to be ready for YOU!! We are a unique "breed" mix, lol. Aunts/Uncles/Parents/SIblings... all "living" together. We have Shar Pei, Scruffy dogs, Pit Bull, and maybe Spaniel mixed in there :D We are all pretty much medium sized, 20-50# and cute as HECK!! If you have ever wanted to adopt a rescued dog that NEEDS the best home, WE ARE WAITING RIGHT HERE!!! Please watch our video, empathize with us AND our rescue family and ADOPT!!!! SO SO SO MANY LIVES DEPEND ON IT!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
