    MEET MICK - YOUR NEXT BEST FRIEND   Hi, I'm Mick! I'm a sweet, affectionate, playful young dog who has been waiting patiently for my forever home. At about a year and seven months old, I'm past the tiny-puppy stage, but I still have some playful puppy energy and so much love to give.    My foster family has cared for me for over a year, so they know me well. They can tell you that I am incredibly intelligent, loyal, affectionate and eager to learn. I pick things up quickly and easily trainable, especially when treats and praise are involved. I already know several commands, including sit, paw, sit up, down, place and heel.    I'm also house trained and comfortable relaxing in my crate all night. I love spending time with my people and enjoy playtime, training and attention. Once I've had a chance to use my brain and exercise, I'm happy to settle down and relax with you.    I live with another dog and know what its like to share a home with a canine companion. I would thrive with a family that will continue building on my training and give me the exercise, structure, companionship, and love I need. In return, you'll have a devoted, smart, loyal best friend that wants to be a part of your life.    Because I'm playful and energetic, older children may be the best fit for me. Who's better than the rest-y? That's right, it's me, Betsy! I am a cool Chinese Shar-Pei mixed female with a Tuxedo colored coat and white socks! My facial features even have a cool black and white coloring to them too! I was rescued from a bad hoarding situation alongside my siblings, thing's weren't looking good for us. But our big-hearted rescuers saved us and got us on the road to better care and living great lives! Betsy likes to chew on big bones, occasionally wiggle her ears around, and bark at squirrels. Now we're on our way to finding our forever homes. Learning how to socialize with other dogs, take walks, and play fetch with a ball. Stay tuned for more updates on my journey! Have you ever heard on the TV, well a hoarder's house has been raided and ... animals have been seized and sent to the pound or rescue organizations in the area.... WELL, we are FROM just that kind of situation :( The good thing is we were SAVED... the bad thing is that we had to ENDURE the neglect and disgusting home. The BEST thing is we were ALL SAVED by a rescue group who REFUSED to leave even ONE behind...... 30 dogs/pups ALL AT ONCE has been taxing and motivating for the rescuers. If you watch our video, the situation was very very challenging but our rescuers worked their butts off to save us. We are almost all ready for adoption, all the pups are social and ready for their furever homes! The young adults and adults are a little more shy but have been working really hard with our rescuers to be ready for YOU!! We are a unique "breed" mix, lol. Aunts/Uncles/Parents/SIblings... all "living" together. We have Shar Pei, Scruffy dogs, Pit Bull, and maybe Spaniel mixed in there :D We are all pretty much medium sized, 20-50# and cute as HECK!! If you have ever wanted to adopt a rescued dog that NEEDS the best home, WE ARE WAITING RIGHT HERE!!! Please watch our video, empathize with us AND our rescue family and ADOPT!!!! There's a new star in town, and this one has four legs! Meet Duke, a handsome 10-month-old, 45-pound Bulldog/Staffordshire Terrier mix (our best guess) who is ready to find his forever family. Duke is a happy, playful, people-loving pup who thinks everyone he meets is a potential best friend. He's wonderful with other dogs and loves having a canine buddy to play with. His favorite game? FETCH! He'll happily chase a toy, bring it back, and do it all over again. And if there's water involved? Even better! Duke absolutely loves the water, so a family who enjoys outdoor adventures, swimming, or just watching a goofy dog have the time of his life would be right up his alley. At 10 months old, Duke still has plenty of puppy fun in him, but he's also incredibly sweet and eager to be part of a family. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Teeka, a 1 year 7 month old spayed female, Boxer mix, 42lbs. She is in a foster home in Houston, TX and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! The amazing Teeka is on the hunt for her forever home. She specializes in best friending with an emphasis on playing! She currently lives with several larger dogs and is learning to respect their boundaries. She LOVES to play with them, but does need some help realizing when her foster siblings are ready to stop. She has not met any cats, so we’re not sure how she’d react to a feline sibling. Her foster mom says she’s done well meeting new human friends and is learning not to jump on them. Because of this and her high energy levels, we do recommend a home with older dog savvy kids. This smartie is house and crate trained! She sleeps quietly in her crate and is kenneled whenever her foster family is out of the house. We don’t recommend leaving her out unsupervised as she may help herself to whatever she finds in the kitchen. Teeka’s love for food is next level and she will try to sneak a bite from you or the other dog’s bowls, but has shown no signs of resource guarding. She is still working on her leash manners, but is getting better every day! She gets a little too excited when she sees other dogs, but is learning to calm down and continue on her walk. This happy girl absolutely loves toys! She knows where the toy basket is and will get one so you can join in the fun. She’s a huge fan of fetch and tug of war! Teeka is learning the joys of relaxing too. She loves to lay on your legs and get some pets and give some kisses. She’s happy just to be near her humans. Teeka is a young pup with boundless energy that will thrive in a home with a yard, daily exercise, training and patience. She’s a goofy, happy, loving girl and with just one look into those pretty doe eyes, your heart will melt! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown.
