Scrappy, about 50 lbs About me: My wrinkles may be minimal, but my heart is huge. I'm playful, affectionate, and always down to make new dog friends or join a game in the yard. But my real love language? Finding the coziest heated blanket in the house and melting into it like the snuggle champion I am. I'll happily switch between playmate and professional cuddle buddy — whatever you need. My résumé: House trained ✅ Know sit, lay down, stay, and leave it ✅ Great with kids ✅ Self-appointed security guard — I take 'protect and serve' seriously and have been known to hop the child gate to greet visitors myself, especially new ones. (The gardeners are still on my watch list, sorry not sorry.) A few honest quirks, because I believe in full transparency on the first date: I pull a little on the leash (working on it). Car rides aren't my favorite — I'll whine the whole way, but I'm otherwise a good passenger. Thunderstorms make me nervous. Baths make me an Olympic sprinter, so we've switched to waterless ones. I can be crated, but I don't really enjoy it and tend to rub my nose. Lately I've just been hanging out loose on dog beds in the living room (and sneaking onto the big bed at night — don't tell). Looking for: Someone who'll keep a close eye on me (I'll be doing the same for you), doesn't mind a co-pilot who narrates every car ride, and has unlimited compliments about how handsome I am. Bonus points for belly rubs. My name is Keoni. Due to a family emergency involving my grandmother’s health, I am relocating permanently back home to Virginia to assist with her care. Over the past few months, I have exhausted every option to place Candy with family, friends, and through private networks, but have been unable to find her a home before my move. Candy is a 9-year-old Shar-Pei/Lab mix in fantastic health. She is fully house-trained, spayed, up-to-date on all vaccinations, and has zero behavioral issues. Gentle, affectionate, and calm, she possesses a sweet, easygoing temperament and still has plenty of vibrant, active years ahead of her.
