Meet Bernie! Bernie arrived at the shelter as a lost dog on 9/2, severely underweight with badly matted fur. After lots of care, he's finally reached a healthy weight and enjoyed a much-needed bath! Now looking and feeling like a new dog, Bernie is ready for a fresh start. Volunteers describe him as super sweet, playful, and attentive. He even knows several commands, including sit and shake! Bernie deserves a loving home where he can continue to thrive. Bernie is approximately 2 years old and weighs 40 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines and did test negative for heartworms. He will be neutered and microchipped upon adoption. Please come meet Bernie in kennel 106; his ID # is 22280. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
