Eddie's tagline: "Seeking one active introvert willing to provide unlimited pets. Compensation: endless loyalty, cuddles, and dramatic pouting."
Hi, I'm Eddie! I'm what you might call a recovering scaredy-dog. When I first arrived in foster care, every noise, movement, and surprise felt like a very big deal. My tail spent a lot of time tucked, and I was pretty sure the safest plan was to run away from anything unfamiliar. But as I've settled in, my real personality has started to shine through—and it turns out I'm a total lovebug.
My favorite hobby is being as close to my person as physically possible. Ideally, you're petting me. If the pets stop unexpectedly, I'll politely remind you with a paw because clearly you've made a mistake. I love praise, I give lots of kisses, and when I'm feeling happy and comfortable, my tail wags so hard it looks like it might take off on its own.
I'm an active guy who loves starting the day with a big adventure. My foster and I enjoy long morning walks, and I settle nicely afterward for naps, cuddles, and supervising your workday from directly at your feet. I'll happily join you for a couple more strolls later and still save enough energy for some playful zoomies and toy time.
Speaking of toys, squeaky toys are my weakness. The softer and more destructible, the better. I also enjoy rope toys, although I'm still trying to figure out why humans keep pulling back during tug-of-war. It seems very confusing.
I'm fully potty trained and quite smart, if I do say so myself. I know "sit," "down," and I sit patiently at crosswalks until I'm told "okay." I'm working on learning even more tricks. The only time I forget my manners is when I'm nervous around strangers.
That's the thing you should know about me: I'm still a sensitive boy. I take time to trust new people, especially men, and sudden noises or unexpected movements can make me anxious. I do best with patient humans who understand that confidence is something we're building together. Once you're in my circle, though, you're in forever. I'll follow you from room to room, keep you company during every activity (yes, even bathroom trips), and greet you like you've been gone for years when you come home.
I also have a few adorable quirks. I pout dramatically when I have to do things I don't enjoy, like baths or car rides. I beg for snacks with impressive determination. And I eat and drink so enthusiastically that my humans have to make sure I slow down a bit.
If I could tell my future family one thing, it would be this: I'm the cutest Stage Five Clinger you'll ever meet. I'm looking for a patient, active introvert who doesn't mind a constant shadow, unlimited requests for pets, and a best friend who thinks the greatest place in the world is right beside you.
