This three‑year‑old McNab Shepherd mix (we think?) is equal parts handsome, goofy, and heart‑meltingly sweet. Pongo is an almost perfect dog — and honestly, he’s so close it feels like cheating. He loves every human he meets, from houseguests to delivery drivers to that friend who “isn’t really a dog person” (don’t worry, Pongo will convert them). He’s also fantastic with other dogs, making him a great fit for multi‑dog homes or anyone who loves dog‑park adventures. What Pongo Brings to the Table - A+ manners: Quiet, potty‑trained, and already knows “sit,” “paw,” and comes when called. - Adventure buddy energy: Great in the car and lovely on a leash — no fenced yard required. - Professional snuggler: His hobbies include couch cuddles, butt scratches, and sneaking onto his foster mom’s bed the moment she steps into the shower. - Social butterfly: Loves people and dogs with his whole spotted heart. What He’s Working On Pongo’s one area of growth is crate training and being alone. He sleeps through the night in his crate as long as it’s in the same room as his human, but daytime crating is tough for him. He gets stressed, tries to escape, and can’t be left loose in the house yet — separation anxiety is real, and he needs a family willing to help him through it. Having another dog buddy in the home is required to help him with this as well. His Dream Home Pongo would thrive with: - Someone home most of the time or - A family committed to helping him build confidence and work through his separation anxiety - A home that appreciates a velcro dog who wants to be part of the action Aside from that one challenge, Pongo is truly the full package — affectionate, gentle, goofy, and ready to be someone’s best friend. Story
Hi, I’m Bruce! I’m a sweet and loving 4.5 year old sheepdog doodle mix. I am a little nervous around new people and sometimes bark but I warm up really quickly and will soon be begging you for pets and scratches. I love school aged kids, my foster mom is not sure if I’ve met babies and young kids before but thinks I would be okay with them. I’m a big boy but think I’m a lap dog and will snuggle up next to you wherever you are, maybe even try to lay in your lap. I will follow you around the house and be your best buddy. I am very smart and my foster mom has been working on some new skills with me but they take time to learn, like not barking in the house, not running out the front door when it opens, and learning to share the attention with the resident dogs, who I get along with very well! I love to play with them.  I would do best in a house with a fence as I like to run free. I am using a tie-out at my foster mom’s house and have run off a couple times when she’s gone to get me back in the house. I just like to run! I am potty trained but don’t yet know how to let you know I have to go outside. I won’t have accidents unless I really have to go and you haven’t let me out in a long time. This has only happened once where I’m staying. I sleep well in my crate and have never had an accident in there. I do well on car rides and on walks, but I get so excited that I tend to pull the leash so I will need to work on that with my new owner.  I love playing with toys and chewing on bully sticks. I am a well behaved boy in my crate while my foster mom is at work. Since I have a poodle-type coat, I will need regular grooming to keep me looking my best and to keep my fur from matting. I am looking for a home that has lots of love to give me!  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Meet Ari! Ari is a sweet and affectionate 2-year-old poodle mix with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. She recently made her way north from Arkansas, where she was found as a stray in a high-kill shelter—and we’re so grateful she was given a second chance at the life she deserves. Ari does wonderfully with both dogs and children, making her an excellent fit for families or multi-pet homes. Cats are currently unknown, as Ari hasn’t had the opportunity to meet one yet. She’s kennel trained, walks well on a leash, and continues to make great progress with house training, especially when given consistency, routine, and positive encouragement. Ari is eager to learn and truly wants to please her people. One of Ari’s favorite things is simply being close to her humans. She loves following you from room to room, curling up nearby, or quietly keeping you company throughout the day. Because of this, Ari thrives on companionship and connection and will do best in a home where she isn’t left alone for long stretches of time. With her calm sweetness balanced by playful, happy moments, Ari has a way of quickly becoming a cherished member of the family. She’s the kind of dog who will steal your heart without even trying—and once she does, she’ll love you right back with everything she has.
