Story
&#226&#128&#139My name is  Ellie, I was  born on 10/22/25 and I'm the smallest of the bunch! My foster mom tells me I’ve got a face that melts hearts and I sure know how to use it to my advantage!! I’ll admit I’m a little spoiled in the snuggles department and love getting in close for some kisses.  I am a typical puppy, I play, bite toes, take naps, snuggle and all those other things a puppy does. My spunky side comes out during playtime and when I’m outside following my nose.  I love romping in the snow.  I know that when I come inside I have to get my feet wiped off and then I get to warm up wrapped in a blanket with my people. I get along great with other dogs and cats.  I am doing well with potty training and I do love going potty outside.  I sleep in a kennel at night with my brother but will soon be moving into my own kennel to be ready for my new home.  I’m looking for a playful and loving family (kids are great too) who has a heart as big as mine!     Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $625.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 3, 2026, 12:59 am

Story
We adopt locally to the Twin Cities metro. We are not able to coordinate distance placements. Apply at Adoption Pinkerton is the sweetest, most loving boy! He will thrive in a senior-loving single-story home, or a home where he does not need to manage stairs to be with his person and to go outside. He has been dearly loved all his life, he will be your best friend! Read more: Age: 11 yrs young! Size: 47 lbs. on his way to a goal weight under 30 lbs. Temperament: Pinkerton is a very happy boy! He just craves attention and will take endless pets as he gazes at you lovingly. He loves everyone he has met! Fence: We will consider a home without a fence with a family who will commit to keeping Pinkerton safely leashed 100% of the time for his lifetime whenever he is outside of a securely fenced area. Pinkerton has experience eliminating while on a leash. Dogs: Pinkerton gets along with the other dogs in his foster home, and lived with a Shih-Tzu previously. Cats: Unknown. There are no cats in his foster home. Kids: No kids in his foster home and it is unknown if Pinkerton has had exposure to children. Due to pain and stiffness that is likely weight-related, Pinkerton would do best in an adult home, or a home with an older child who understands appropriate interactions with an older dog. Crate Use: Pinkerton uses a crate when transported in the car, and has free run of the house in his foster home. He sometimes sleeps in his crate, which has a bath mat to assist him in getting up. Housetrained: Yes Responds to Cues: Pinkerton does well with routine and predictability. It can take him a few days to get used to a new environment. He’ll do most anything you ask for a treat! Leash Walks: Currently leash walks should be short to prevent further pain and stiffness. As Pinkerton approaches his goal weight, leash walks will be much more comfortable and enjoyable for him. He likes walks! Car Rides: Car rides have been to go to the vet and groomer. Pinkerton is crated for transport for his safety. Activity Level: Low, as expected for his current mobility level. Barking: Pinkerton is quiet for a Sheltie - a plus! He will bark with excitement about food. Health: While in rescue, Pinkerton has had an exam, bloodwork, thyroid test, tick screen, and heartworm test. Pinkerton is on Carprofen daily for pain and stiffness, likely weight-related. He is able to do 2 or 3 steps but it will be some time before he can do more than that. We are hoping that, as he approaches his goal weight, he will be more mobile and regain strength in his back legs through exercises. He is able to walk on a hard floor but struggles to get up when lying on a hard floor. He has fewer issues when on a rug or carpet. Pinkerton will be such a joy in your life! He is perfect for someone with few or no stairs, who wants an easygoing, adoring boy to love and to enjoy slow, leisurely walks together, and who can support him toward his goal weight so he can be as healthy as possible. Adoption fee: $250 We adopt locally to the Twin Cities metro area of Minnesota.

Story
Location: Woodbury, MN Shadow is the kind of dog who watches the room before entering it. He’s thoughtful, intelligent, and takes his job as “emotional barometer” very seriously. Once he decides you’re safe, he’ll reward you with quiet companionship, soulful looks, and the occasional dramatic sigh. He’s affectionate—but in a low-key, meaningful way. Shadow isn’t here to sit on your face or steal your snacks. He prefers leaning against you, settling nearby, and choosing closeness rather than demanding attention. Once comfortable, he happily shares his affection with the people he trusts — including curling up for a snuggle when the mood is right. Shadow is kennel trained, house-trained, and highly tuned in to his surroundings. He thrives with predictability, clear boundaries, and humans who speak fluent Dog Body Language™. Because he’s sensitive and perceptive, he does best with older kids or teens, and with younger kids only if introductions are slow and respectful. Energy-wise, Shadow is solidly medium. He enjoys walks, toys, and short play sessions—but he’s equally talented at napping. He walks nicely on leash, appreciates calm “sniff and stroll” walks, and does not require a fenced yard. Bonus fun fact: his recall is quite good when expectations are clear (he likes rules—don’t tell the other dogs). Shadow can live in a multi-dog household, especially with calm, socially appropriate dogs and humans who manage shared resources like food, chews, and prime nap spots. With the right setup, he’s capable of peaceful co-existence and selective play—but he’s not into chaos, drama, or free-for-alls. Shadow bonds deeply but not possessively. He’s not a one-person-only dog — once he feels safe, he’s happy to snuggle with trusted humans and settle in wherever the vibes are calm. If you’re looking for a smart, soulful dog who will quietly choose you (and then maybe your partner too), Shadow might just be the perfect addition to your home. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). She's got the perfect amount of puppy energy combined with superb cuddling skills. Juno is housetrained and is quickly learning new commands like "sit" and "down". She gets along well with her resident dogs and loves toys. Juno is working on gaining weight as she came into the rescue underweight, but she loves eating so will quickly get back to an ideal weight. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
