Location: Jackson, MN Hi, I'm Cristina! I'm a loving pup. I love the chew on bones and toys. I'm still working on potty training. I like to go on walks and pull occasionally when walking. I like to play with other dogs and get along well with them. Cats, on the other hand I like to chase and don't quite know how to get along with. I'm doing well with crate training but like to wake up early morning and bark as I need to go outside. ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Sioux Falls, SD I'm Dover! I am a typical happy-go-lucky, energetic boy! I love to play/wrestle with my brother, run with the resident dogs and sit and watch the cats. I say hello to them but I don't bother them. I am quiet and well-mannered, I can walk well on a leash and big bonus, I am 99% potty trained. The only time I have had an accident is overnight, and that is rare! As you can see, I am one charming, adorable gent....look at those ears! I love to be outside with my foster family. I'm happy to help with flower watering, chasing the ball you throw, going for a walk, exploring the yard and even sitting on the patio with you, of course, on your lap! I love all friends I meet, both 2-legged and 4-legged. I would love a home with a canine friend and one that my people will continue spending time to teach me new things, walk me, take me on adventures and, of course, give me lots of affection. Call me, I would love to meet you! Location: Murdo, SD Hello! My name is Phoenix! I'm a happy go lucky puppy who loves to play with toys! I love my foster brothers and sister! Both animal and human! My foster mom says I'm a such a silly boy! I love to snuggle on the couch and hang out! Rolling around in the grass with a toy in my mouth is my favorite pastime! I'm a little nervous so I'd do best with a family who understands I need a little time to relax and get to know you before I come out of my shell. I'm doing great with crate training and potty training and my mom says I have such good manners for a little guy! -------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Location: New Ulm, MN Hi, my name is Pierre! What's your name? What are you doing? Where are you going? Can I come? Do you want to be friends? As you can probably tell I have a lot of energy. I like to get up early in the morning and go outside. My Foster Mom (FM) doesn't go for runs but we do walk every day and I love it! I would probably do really well with an active family or someone that likes to run. I also love to roughhouse with the dogs that already live here and would be a great addition to a house that already has a dog or two. I love to play with toys but it is more fun when I have someone to play with. I like to cuddle and give kisses. FM and her daughters say I don't know what personal space is but I am just trying to be loving and close to my humans. I might be a little shy at first, but I love humans so much I have a tendency to tinkle when I see them and get excited or when I am nervous, but I will probably grow out of that. Speaking of which, FM doesn't think I am going to be very big, but I may get tall because I am all legs. I am doing really good with potty training and only have the occasional accident when no one lets me out in time. My kennel is my safe space. I like to hide in it when things get too loud or the vacuum comes out. I also just hang out in it during the day when there isn't much going on. I hide things in my kennel too. Toys, chews, the humans shoes, random scraps of paper, pretty much whatever I can find. But... I am not fully kennel trained. I sleep with the humans at night and I don't like it when they shut the kennel and lock me in. So, as I have already said I like people. The young humans are teenagers but I seem to do good with all ages. I also do pretty good with the cats that live here. I want to play with them but they usually don't want to play with me so I respect their boundaries. I am pretty quiet most of the time. I only talk when I need to go outside or I have big feelings I need to share. -------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Location: Minneapolis, MN Topeka is a very sweet puppy. She loves to cuddle. She's being fostered with her sister, Hartford, who she likes to chase and play with. She can initially be a little timid when meeting new people but quickly warms up. She does well with other dogs. Story
Blooper is a 1 year old smooth collie and golden retriever mix. As a college student, I unfortunately have to rehome him, as I am moving into a small apartment and he does not do well being confined in his crate during the day for more than 4 hours. He is crate trained and has had basic obedience training. Very well-behaved, intelligent, and friendly dog who loves to cuddle. He is gentle with cats and loves other dogs. He has been living with an elderly cat and has been nicknamed “nurse Blooper,” due to his caring and attentive nature. He would be a loving and goofy addition to any family.

Story
Hi! I'm Prissy. I'm from Alabama! From her foster; Prissy loves to give kisses. She is not much of a cuddler and hasn't shown any interest in hopping up on the couch or bed. She likes to play and would love a playmate. Prissy is mostly a quiet pup and has only recently started showing her voice, usually when she gets playful. She loves being outside where she can run freely, so a fenced yard would be her dream. Prissy is kennel-trained and potty-trained. She is still a puppy and likes to chew on shoes, so I would recommend keeping shoes out of her reach. We have been trying to redirect her with different toys, but she still prefers shoes if she can access them. While she will happily accept treats, she is not treat-motivated, as in she will eat if you give it to her directly, but she will not come to you for a treat, so training her may require a little extra work.

Story
Hi! I'm Holmes. I'm from Oklahoma! From his foster: Holmes is a sweet dog that loves to cuddle. He is playful and likes to play outside. He is very calm most of the time, however, and enjoys his sleep. He will sit and watch a movie with you or wait just outside the kitchen while you cook. He does not beg for food and doesn't seem overly motivated by food/treats. He is definitely the runt of the litter, but he has a great personality that will win the affection of just about anyone. He plays with his brother, and wanted to play with our cat (who wasn't interested herself) We are still working on potty training, and he is getting there just needs more consistency then we can provide. He is currently housed with his brother from the same litter. He is more shy and will wait for his brother before he starts to eat.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $350 plus taxHazel aka Peggy Lee aka 'Shawty' when we're Joking around, is a smart and spirited mix of maybe beagle, herding breed, and judging solely by some of her entertaining vocalizations, sea lion and Tasmanian devil. She seems to be always thinking and noticing. She may come off as a little standoffish at first, but as she warms up she loves a good belly rub and snuggle. She loves car rides and adventures, and would probably be a happy boating dog.    Her place at night is at the foot of my bed, but only after my other foster modeled the 'art' of co-sleeping with people for her. Hazel needs the company of another interactive dog in her home to help her know how to trust people. She is overly obsessive of cats, and very vocal, so she needs a cat-free home. Hazel really is a special kind of dog who is just what someone out there is seeking. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee: $500 plus taxHi! My name is Duncan and I am a spunky boy! It did take me a while to get to be this comfortable and spunky though. I was pretty nervous for almost a full week in my new foster home, but with the help of my foster doggie brothers and the patience of my foster parents, I've learned that humans aren't scary and hands can be gentle. I play really well with the other dogs and I like to play wrestle, chase, and tug-o-war. My foster home has these potty bells by the stairs and I'm supposed to ring them when I need to go, but I'm still learning. I just get so excited when I'm playing, that I forget! One place I never potty though is my kennel. I like to keep my kennel clean! I'm really good at going into my kennel when the humans in my house leave for work, and I also sleep in my kennel at night. Just say, 'kennel!' and I'll walk right in. I get a biscuit every time! The humans say I have to sleep in my kennel until I'm potty trained. When I'm out of my kennel and playing, I like to run and give kisses to my humans! They let me snuggle and play on the bed and getting belly rubs is amazing! Sometimes I fall asleep in the human bed at my foster mom's feet and I have to get carried to the kennel at bed time. It's important to know that my past is not fully known, and I do get nervous around new people and new places and I take a while to warm up. I stayed at a vacation foster for a couple nights and I hid behind the living room chair when we were inside - I just wasn't sure! But if you choose me to be your forever, just know I need some time but I will be your best friend once I know for sure you're safe. Speaking of safe, it would be best for me to have a doggie sibling to learn from and help me feel comfortable! I'm still kinda scared of the leash, but a harness could work much better for me! I have cat siblings at my foster home, and I'm usually OK with them, but I do like to chase sometimes and try to play with them like I do the dogs. If my new family has cats, just remember to be patient with me as I'm still a baby and learning all things dog. I just know I'll be a great addition to your family! Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Location: Maple Grove, MN Tesla arrived to rescue terrified and pregnant. Unfortunately her puppies did not survive, but now she is loving all that life has to offer in her foster home. Once she learned what it felt like to snuggle with her humans on the couch, she quickly realized it's her favorite thing in the world, and she will leap from across the room when she sees her foster family sit down on the couch - ready for their love. Tesla loves her people, and wants nothing more than love and affection from her family. She is constantly trying to get hugs and snuggles from her foster family (canine and human), and it is so sweet. She lives with 2 kids, ages 8 and 13, and she is great with them and their friends. However, she is uncomfortable with little kids that do not respect her boundaries. (I.e. Toddlers that climb on dogs and put their face in hers is not going to be a fit.) But she does wonderful with kids that demonstrate appropriate dog behavior - letting her approach them, and giving her time to build trust with them. She loves going on walks, and playing with her toys. Her first year of life was spent tied up to the outside of a house, so it is a natural instinct to protect her people and herself. On walks, she can be a bit protective of her family, so it's important to continue leash training to control her reactions. She is extremely treat motivated, and does a wonderful job when we work with her on it! She is relaxed, with medium energy overall, sleeping most of the day while her foster family works. She is potty trained, and kennel trained. She is silent in her kennel overnight, but does have some opinions to express during the day when alone sometimes, so shared walls may not be the right fit for her. Tesla enjoys playing with other dogs as long as she is given slow introductions. Her foster home has 4 other dogs, and she does great with all of them, after a very slow introduction period. Tesla shows a lot of interest in small critters, so we recommend no cats in her forever home. If you are looking for a pet that loves her people fiercely, check out sweet Tesla. She will fill you up with all her love! ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
