Story
Location: Sioux Falls, SD Meet Humphrey a.k.a. “Dave” Humphrey, affectionately known as Dave, is looking for his tribe — and by tribe, we mean a family who will appreciate just how lovable, social, and well-rounded this boy truly is. Dave gets along wonderfully with dogs, people, and kids, making him an easy fit for almost any home. He may bark at a guy or two when first meeting them, just to let everyone know he’s keeping watch, but give him a treat and a little time and he’ll quickly become your loyal sidekick. Underneath his watchful nature is a sweet, affectionate dog who simply wants to be part of the family. Humphrey was rescued from a South Dakota reservation and had been living with a family who clearly loved and cared for him deeply until they were no longer able to keep him. It’s easy to see this boy has known love and structure — he is house trained and crate trained to perfection. Just say “kennel up” and he happily trots right into his crate. This smart boy already knows an impressive list of commands including sit, shake, high five, stay, spin, kiss, boop on the nose, and even jumping through a hoop. Humphrey loves being involved in whatever his people are doing. Whether it’s running errands, relaxing at a brewery, grabbing a morning coffee, or heading out on an adventure, he is ready to go. His long legs love a good stretch, but he’s just as happy curling up beside you for a quiet movie night at home. Humphrey truly is the full package — handsome, smart, social, loyal, and full of love to give. If you’re looking for a unique pup who will become your best friend and adventure buddy, this boy is for you. Schedule your meet and greet by applying for Humphrey today! ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Buffalo, MN After 3 years in a home, Greta sadly found herself back in rescue. Despite everything, this sweet girl continues to be nothing but loving, loyal, and ready to give her whole heart. Greta is truly the total package: 🐾 House trained 🐾 Crate trained 🐾 Knows all her basic commands 🐾 Great with dogs and cats 🐾 Calm, affectionate, and easy to love Her only requirements? Greta needs a home without children and should be fed separately due to resource guarding around food and treats. Outside of mealtime, she happily coexists with other animals and has been an amazing foster dog. Greta is still feeling a little unsure being returned, and it can take her a few minutes to get over her initial stranger danger. Once you win her over, she’s the kind of dog who settles in beside you like she’s always belonged. After losing the family she thought was forever, Greta deserves a second chance with someone who will love her for life! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Hi! My name is Clary, and I am from Texas! Spunky, energetic, and full of love, Clary is looking for an active home where she can run, play, go on walks, and be part of everyday family life. She’s really enjoying learning to walk on a leash and exploring new places beyond the yard. Like most puppies, she gets excited, especially when she sees squirrels or rabbits. She’s settling nicely into a routine, doing well in her crate at night and for a few hours during the day when needed (tried max 4 hours so far). Clary is also making great progress with potty training, with only a few accidents in the past couple of weeks. She plays well with her sister and other dogs. She’ll make an amazing addition to a loving and active home!

Story
I am looking for a temp foster home from June 8th-July 20th! Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org if you can help out! A portion of my adoption fee has been sponsored by The Wilbur Fund. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $250.00 will be applied during the contract process. Hi, my name is Ringo, and I am from Tennessee! Ringo is a special dog. He’s a male Australian Cattle Dog/Red Speckled Heeler, and true to his breed. Instead of trying to move cattle along, another dog will do! In play he will nip at my dog’s heels, which inspires her to more play and soon both dogs are rolling around, then up and racing around the obstacle course in my back yard! Ringo plays hard, but gently. He loves to jump up after squirrels and birds in the trees and bushes, so he’ll need a 5 foot or higher fence. Then with a single call “come” he responds and comes on command. He’s smart, easy to please, and will look to his person for assurance, for he experiences separation anxiety. He has progressed so much, but he will need a person with patience and is willing to help him feel less anxious. Also, a resident dog about his size (30-40 lbs) will help him become less dependent on his person. Ringo is very well behaved in the house and on walks. With training he’s learning to not react to other dogs and their people. He is very gentle with my cat and has warmed up to my 11 year old granddaughter. On a short leash he has not reacted nervously to small children. He will bark loudly at certain outside noises or when in the car and people walk by but is learning to stop barking when commanded to stop. Each day he seems to relax more as he experiences new activities and sights. He enjoys his walks and won’t wander far from your side, often checking to see you following. Training assistance has been very beneficial to Ringo. At this time a woman would be the best fit for Ringo, with slow introductions to men/boys he does not know. He definitely has a gentleness about him, and would love a forever home.

Story
Meet Dai Mar – The Gentle Gentleman with a Playful Spark! Age: 12 years (13 in August) | Breed: Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog Mix Weight:    66 lbs | Adoption Fee: $375 | Neutered: Yes Don’t let his age fool you— Dai Mar may be a senior in years, but he still has the heart (and play drive!) of a much younger pup. This sweet, easygoing guy loves squeaky toys, a good game of tug-of-war, and—most of all—being near his people. He’s the kind of companion who’ll be by your side through thick and thin, offering loyalty, love, and the occasional goofy grin. Dai Mar is friendly with everyone he meets, including other dogs, cats, and respectful kiddos. He’s potty trained with a regular routine but does have an occasional accident, hasn’t needed to be crated, preferring to spend his time near the people he loves. While he's mostly agile, he occasionally needs a little help going up and down steps—but he’s still active and enjoys moving around. He is a vocal guy when it comes to unexpected noises, so a quiet, calm home would suit him best. If you’re looking for a gentle, devoted friend with a golden heart and a playful streak, Dai Mar might be the perfect match for you. He’s ready to bring joy, love, and companionship into a home that will treasure him as much as he’ll treasure you. Ready to meet Dai Mar? Apply today and give this sweet senior the cozy, love-filled home he deserves. A s a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.   Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. Story
Location: Maplewood, MN Ezekiel is a very friendly dog and just wants love. He really enjoys love and attention. Good with all humans and other dogs. Has not been cat-tested. Ezekiel seems to do fine occupying himself outside for many hours in this sunshine and does dig holes. This leads to him quickly falling asleep at night. And, he does start to miss a human or another dog though. He is completely house-trained and has not had a single indoor accident. Ezekiel is also very good on walks! Contains his energy and enjoys the moment with a human and others. Also, very good during car rides. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
