Story
Location Mayer, MN Meet Polly! 🐾 Polly came to us in rough shape and has been taking her time to adjust and get comfortable in her foster home. With a little patience and love, she’s really started to shine! This sweet, calm girl is both potty and kennel trained. She enjoys snuggling, chewing on bones, and having "conversations" with her humans—she’s quite the chatterbox in the most endearing way! Polly loves to run and play with the resident dogs in her foster home. She’ll need a slow introduction to other animals, but once she warms up, she enjoys their company. She's curious about cats, so a dog-savvy cat would be best. She’s been wonderful with kids and meeting new people. We’re currently working on some basic commands and leash training, and she’s catching on well. Polly is looking for a home that can offer her continued patience, love, and lots of playtime. Could you be the one to help her feel safe and loved forever? --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Story
Hi, I’m Sammy. I think that I am around 3 – 5 years old. I’m a Collie/Beagle mix. I have longer legs than a typical beagle and weigh about 50 pounds. I have been with my foster mom, dad, and my two basset friends for over a year. I go to work with my foster mom every day and am great with all the customers and construction people who are always around. I also do well with the office cats, although if they try to get too much of my foster mom's time, I will chase them. I would do my best as an only dog, as I try to be very dominant and do not like it when dogs approach me. Slow introductions are a must. I really love walks, but am very excited and bark for  the first couple of minutes of the walk. My foster mom and dad are working on that and the pulling. The great stuff about me is I’m very loyal to my human and have become my foster mom's ride or die. I love sitting in the passenger seat and driving to work with her. At least I get away from the pesky bassets for a while. I’m not a dog that needs attention all the time. I would make a great farm dog. I prefer to sleep on a dog bed even though I could sleep on Mom's bed. I have a pretty good callback, but could use some work. After all, I have that beagle nose. I do not like to be crated. I have never had an accident inside and come up and start licking you to go outside. I know the perfect person is out there for me! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Meet Walt! Walt is a Border Collie mix with an estimated birthday of February 2025. He has a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging! This little guy is the perfect mix of cuddly and curious. He’s playful, smart, and already picking up on routines like a pro. True to his breed, Walt is a bright pup who’s eager to learn and please. He loves toys, belly rubs, and following his humans around the house. He’s doing great with crate training and is well on his way with potty training. Walt would thrive in a home ready for all the fun (and work!) that comes with a growing pup—especially one that can keep his active mind and body engaged. Whether it’s adventures in the yard or snuggles on the couch, Walt is ready to be your best friend for life. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Serafina, or “Sera” for short, is a joyful and spirited young collie mix with a heart as big as her personality. Weighing in at around 40 pounds, this affectionate pup is the perfect blend of playful energy and loving companionship. Sera lives for attention—if you’re petting another dog, don’t be surprised when she pops up to politely (and persistently) request her fair share. She’s incredibly social and gets along wonderfully with people, dogs of all sizes, and even cats—though she does love to try to play with her feline friends. Smart as a whip, Sera picks up on routines, tricks, and even treat hiding spots with lightning speed. She once figured out how to open her crate from the inside—though her foster parents outsmarted her with a carabiner (for now!). While crating isn’t her favorite and she will bark in protest, she’s fully potty trained, walks well on a leash, and has mastered basic commands like “sit” and “down.” Her favorite things include squeaky toys, neighborhood walks, playing with the resident pets, and keeping a close eye on backyard critters as part of her self-appointed security detail. Sera is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, so her future family will need to support her through the rest of that process, but she’s otherwise a healthy, happy girl. She would thrive in an active home with plenty of enrichment, affection, and opportunities to use her brain and burn off energy. Whether she’s “splooting” on the floor in full goofball mode or snuggling up for kisses, Serafina is pure joy wrapped in fur and is ready to bring her big heart and big personality into a forever home. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
Hi, I’m Pip—50% sass, 50% snuggles, and 100% ready to steal your heart! With my spotted coat and spunky spirit, I’m the kind of pup who turns heads and melts hearts. I’m about a year old, full of love, and currently living my best life in foster care while I wait for my forever home. My foster family says I’m bursting with personality. I’ve got a happy tail, goofy expressions, and a big heart that’s always ready for cuddles. I love being near my people—whether we’re playing, snuggling, or just hanging out. I’ll be your shadow, your sidekick, your biggest fan. I already know how to sit, I settle nicely in my crate when it’s time to rest, and I’m doing well with my house manners—as long as I get regular potty breaks (a girl’s got needs, after all!). I’ve got lots of playful energy and am learning how to take a breath when I get extra excited. I just love people so much, it’s hard not to wiggle with joy! Because of that, I’d probably do best with bigger kids who won’t get knocked over by my enthusiasm. I might also enjoy having a calm dog friend who matches my vibe. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, loyal sidekick with a whole lot of heart—look no further. I might just be your girl. Pip is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventions. $200 Local Adoption Fee (in Texas) $450 Out of State Fee (includes transport to your area)

Story
Location: Ramsey, MN It will be hard to summarize Mr Brody in one small bio, but here we go! It is assumed that Brody was dumped by a previous owner due to an injury to his hind legs. The injury does not overall limit his activity as he is such a mellow dog in the first place, but he does use pain medication to manage his discomfort. Even after going through this injury and being on the streets for some time, Brody is an absolute gem of a dog. In addition to being a handsome boy with icy blue eyes, he is well-mannered, house trained, great with my kids and resident dog, shows no interest in my cats, and doesn’t need to be kenneled at night or when you leave the house. He is just happy to be here. Brody would make an excellent addition to almost any home. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Spirit Lake, IA Hi, my name is Laurel but my foster mom calls me Lolo- a pint sized ball of energy. I love to run around my yard with my fur friends and splash in the pool! I like dogs that are my size or bigger and it does take me a few days to warm up to them. I do well in my kennel or left out in a room for a few hours. I love my toys but I do tend to want them for myself so I'm learning to share. I sleep in my fosters room at night and do a great job all night. I am such a sweetheart and I love my humans! I'm still learning some manners but I've been doing great so far. I would love to join your family and find my furever home! ---------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
