Story
Meet Daffodil! This tiny girl was born Sept. 1st and is a Sheltie/Great Pyr mix that is truly the runt of her litter and weighing only 6 pounds at the age of 9 weeks.  We expect her to be a 40 pounds little girl when fully grown. The foster mom is cautioning the reader of this post to know that you cannot let her size fool you—she’s full of spark, spunk and personality! Daffodil is a playful, curious little firecracker who loves to explore, chase toys, and soak up every bit of love and attention she can get.  True to the Sheltie genetics in her DNA, she’s brave, smart, and full of energy, always ready for a new adventure. When she’s done playing, she’s the sweetest cuddle bug, happy to curl up in your arms or nap by your side. Daffodil may be small, but her heart and spirit are larger than life.  If you’re looking for a fun-loving, loyal companion who will brighten your days and fill your home with joy, Daffodil is ready to blossom into your perfect little best friend.  If you are interested in adopting this little powerhouse who is tiny but mighty, then email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   She is ready for a new home just before Thanksgiving and can transport from Nashville on November 22nd.  We have 6 transport stops on the route to New England and starting near North Carolina for our first stopPLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 4, 2025, 10:41 pm

Story
Our beautiful Chocolate girl is called Kylie and she was born the middle of June on a property that was overrun with Sheltie/Great Pyr mix dogs.  She and her sister Taylor (identical in colors and markings) were  living under a wood shed on the property and not in the good condition at all.   Critter Cavalry Rescue took them in and bottle fed them to insure they were flea free and getting the proper worming and care inside a foster home.  These little girl pups are ready for a new forever family that will guide them to be the best canine companions they can be.  Kylie is clever, curious and cuddly all rolled in to one.  A touch of mischievousness and charm, she is fearless as she investigates so many new things in her life.  One thing we can say for sure....she loves to run and run and run in her fenced back yard.  This will be a must for her as her activity level will only escalate as she grows in to a gorgeous chocolate long furred adult dog.  She is outgoing and yet demure at times.  She is currently a 14 pound girl that we feel will grow to be a 55 pound adult girl.  She will be a stunner and head turner for sure.  She already is.  We will require an experienced family who understands the active dogs and will provide the safety of a fenced yard and dedication to training her as she grows.  She is learning crate training now and housebreaking.  What a fun little girl to raise and polish.  If you are interested, please write to us at Critter Cavalry Rescue, ccrnewengland@gmail.com.  She is currently in Nashville, Tn and can transport on September 6th northward on a certified animal transport van.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 27, 2025, 9:46 pm

Story
Meet Tanner — a Sheltie/Great Pyr mix puppy who’s equal parts of fun, affection, and unstoppable curiosity! Born at the beginning of September, Tanner was lucky enough to start life safe and loved after his mom was rescued just before he and his six siblings were born. Thanks to that good fortune, Tanner has known kindness from day one, and it shows in his happy, confident personality. Tanner is the biggest of his litter, and according to the puppy weight chart, this handsome guy is on track to grow into a big, strong dog — possibly around 70 pounds of pure love! He’s playful and full of energy, the kind of pup who can make even the most ordinary day feel like an adventure. He loves to play tug, wrestle with his siblings, and run around with kids who can keep up with his joyful energy. If you’re the outdoorsy type, Tanner is your guy. He’s going to make an amazing hiking partner, trail explorer, and loyal sidekick for all your adventures. When the day’s done, he’ll be just as ready to curl up by your side and soak in all the cuddles (and yes, he may still think he’s a lapdog even when he’s 70 pounds!). Tanner is well-adjusted, social, and ready to find the family he can call his own forever. If you’re looking for a best friend who will grow with you in every way, Tanner is waiting with an eager tail wag and a heart full of love and ready November 22nd for a new family.  He can transport up from Nashville TN to one 7 transport stops near you.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 5, 2025, 10:31 am

Story
Meet Bandit. Bandit came to us as a found local stray. Bandit is a 6 month old (approximate dob 3/1/25) sheltie mix who is currently 22lbs. Bandit is an active little guy who loves hopping around, running zoomies in the yard, and cuddling. He is very much a velcro dog and follows his foster mom every where she goes. While he appears to be shy right now with new people, we do feel that Bandit will grow out of that as he grows more comfortable and confident with the world. Bandit is a quick learner and is doing great with housebreaking. He is crate trained, friendly and submissive with other dogs, and would do well with kids who understand to take it slow with him at first. There are no cats in his current foster home but he has been exposed to them in short spurts and shows no interest besides a quick hello. He is a very gentle soul and has the cutest, most goofy, personality. Bandit is working on his leash walking skills and loves his fosters fenced in yard however, he does not appear to be a flight risk so a fence is not required for him. Bandit is now neutered, up to date with vaccines and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400.00. If you are interested in adopting Bandit, please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application. Story
Let me introduce you to Lady! She is a 3 y.o. sheltie who is good with dogs and kids. And sheep. She loves to be outside running and/or sunbathing. And if there are no sheep present, she will settle for herding the squirrels in the yard. When she first came home with us, she was a nervous girl and while she's still a bit skittish, she has gained poise and confidence. She's housebroken as long as she gets regular potty breaks. Leash training is ongoing; a fenced yard might be best for Lady. Lady is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and ready to find her forever home. Kennel #9117

Story
Amber sure lives up to her name where the color of amber imbues, warmth, positivity and wisdom. Would you see when you first meet this beautiful, young girl is an 18 month, 60 pound Collie mix that loves to receive affection as well as nd she has so much to give back. This girl just want to be right by your side and enjoy the people round her.  She was found by some local residents in a very small, rural community but soon realized that no one was looking for this very good girl. Critter cavalry rescue volunteers readily took her in and quickly found out how smart she is.  As she is learning to walk on a leash, we also have learned that due to being astray and wandering on her own for a while. She is developed a bit of a clingy personality that will need a little bit of work and reassurance. Amber loves to play with her stuffed bunny who seems to be her BFF and she also likes to be brushed. She's a sweetheart with other dogs, but we haven't had a chance to cat. Test her and can, if that is a trait that you desire her to be good at.  Critter Cavalry Rescue is offering this girl as a special companion to a family or individuals who just want a good dog.   Please email at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 10, 2025, 12:27 am
