Story
Let me introduce you to Lady! She is a 3 y.o. sheltie who is good with dogs and kids. And sheep. She loves to be outside running and/or sunbathing. And if there are no sheep present, she will settle for herding the squirrels in the yard. When she first came home with us, she was a nervous girl and while she's still a bit skittish, she has gained poise and confidence. She's housebroken as long as she gets regular potty breaks. Leash training is ongoing; a fenced yard might be best for Lady. Lady is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and ready to find her forever home. Kennel #9117

Story
Our beautiful Chocolate girl is called Kylie and she was born the middle of June on a property that was overrun with Sheltie/Great Pyr mix dogs.  She and her sister Taylor (identical in colors and markings) were  living under a wood shed on the property and not in the good condition at all.   Critter Cavalry Rescue took them in and bottle fed them to insure they were flea free and getting the proper worming and care inside a foster home.  These little girl pups are ready for a new forever family that will guide them to be the best canine companions they can be.  Kylie is clever, curious and cuddly all rolled in to one.  A touch of mischievousness and charm, she is fearless as she investigates so many new things in her life.  One thing we can say for sure....she loves to run and run and run in her fenced back yard.  This will be a must for her as her activity level will only escalate as she grows in to a gorgeous chocolate long furred adult dog. A playmate or playdates with other dogs will be the best for Kylie to be happily exercised and content. She is outgoing and yet demure at times.  She is currently a 16 pound girl that we feel will grow to be a 55 pound adult girl.  She will be a stunner and head turner for sure.  She already is.  We will require an experienced family who understands the active dogs and will provide the safety of a fenced yard and dedication to training her as she grows.  She is learning crate training now and housebreaking.  What a fun little girl to raise and polish.  If you are interested, please write to us at Critter Cavalry Rescue, ccrnewengland@gmail.com.  She is currently in Nashville, Tn and can transport on September 6th northward on a certified animal transport van.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 5, 2025, 10:24 pm

Story
Meet Daffodil! This tiny girl was born Sept. 1st and is a Sheltie/Great Pyr mix that is truly the runt of her litter and weighing only 6 pounds at the age of 9 weeks.  We expect her to be a 40 pounds little girl when fully grown. The foster mom is cautioning the reader of this post to know that you cannot let her size fool you—she’s full of spark, spunk and personality! Daffodil is a playful, curious little firecracker who loves to explore, chase toys, and soak up every bit of love and attention she can get.  True to the Sheltie genetics in her DNA, she’s brave, smart, and full of energy, always ready for a new adventure. When she’s done playing, she’s the sweetest cuddle bug, happy to curl up in your arms or nap by your side. Daffodil may be small, but her heart and spirit are larger than life.  If you’re looking for a fun-loving, loyal companion who will brighten your days and fill your home with joy, Daffodil is ready to blossom into your perfect little best friend.  If you are interested in adopting this little powerhouse who is tiny but mighty, then email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   She is ready for a new home just before Thanksgiving and can transport from Nashville on November 22nd.  We have 6 transport stops on the route to New England and starting near North Carolina for our first stopPLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 4, 2025, 10:41 pm

Story
Meet Tanner — a Sheltie/Great Pyr mix puppy who’s equal parts of fun, affection, and unstoppable curiosity! Born at the beginning of September, Tanner was lucky enough to start life safe and loved after his mom was rescued just before he and his six siblings were born. Thanks to that good fortune, Tanner has known kindness from day one, and it shows in his happy, confident personality. Tanner is the biggest of his litter, and according to the puppy weight chart, this handsome guy is on track to grow into a big, strong dog — possibly around 70 pounds of pure love! He’s playful and full of energy, the kind of pup who can make even the most ordinary day feel like an adventure. He loves to play tug, wrestle with his siblings, and run around with kids who can keep up with his joyful energy. If you’re the outdoorsy type, Tanner is your guy. He’s going to make an amazing hiking partner, trail explorer, and loyal sidekick for all your adventures. When the day’s done, he’ll be just as ready to curl up by your side and soak in all the cuddles (and yes, he may still think he’s a lapdog even when he’s 70 pounds!). Tanner is well-adjusted, social, and ready to find the family he can call his own forever. If you’re looking for a best friend who will grow with you in every way, Tanner is waiting with an eager tail wag and a heart full of love and ready November 22nd for a new family.  He can transport up from Nashville TN to one 7 transport stops near you.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 5, 2025, 10:31 am

Story
Meet Hawthorne our handsome cream colored Sheltie/Great Pyr mix puppy who was born on Labor Day, September 1st to a litter of 7 puppies.  This boy is 10 pounds at 9 weeks and will be almost on the Sheltie side of size when fully grown.  His momma is Annie Oakley on our site and she is 50 pounds.  He will probably be a 40 pounds adult when fully grown. This adorable puppy is a bundle of sweetness and playful energy! He’s a smart, loving little boy who enjoys cuddles, playtime, and exploring the world around him. Though he can be a little shy at first, he warms up quickly and shows his affectionate, gentle nature once he feels safe.  Hawthorne is full of puppy curiosity, loves making new friends, and will thrive with a family who can give him time, patience, and plenty of love. He’s loyal, intelligent, and eager to please—everything you’d expect from a Sheltie mix! If you’re looking for a faithful companion with a big heart and an even bigger personality, He is ready to steal your heart and become your best friend.  This boy is ready for a new family on November 22nd.  Could that be you?  If so please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   He is able to ride up on the certified animal transport van from Nashville, TN where he is currently being fostered.   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 5, 2025, 10:31 am

Story
KENNEL ID #18804 Meet Mae! She is an 8-month-old, under 20lbs. sweet girl. She is ready to start the next chapter of her life. Mae looks to be mixed with Corgi and most likely Beagle or dachshund. She has a gentle heart and lots of love to give.  She and her sister were sadly abandoned at a home in August, covered in fleas — but you’d never know it now by their bright eyes and happy tails. Her sister Polly has been adopted. Both girls are very friendly, great with children, and crate-trained. They love attention and would make wonderful companions for a family or individual ready to give them a safe, loving home. Because they developed littermate syndrome, Polly and Mae will need to be adopted separately — they tend to squabble when together but are total sweethearts on their own.  Adoption Fee: $475 (includes spay)  Thank you for your interest in rescue.  If you would like to be considered for  adoption,  please submit an application to adopt.  If you have any questions regarding the adoption process, please email:  rescuedp2024@icloud.com  or ddlu219@yahoo.com   for dog/puppies.    APPLICATIONS TO ADOPT : DOG     CAT     BIRD      REPTILE       SMALL ANIMALS        October 30, 2025, 4:22 pm
