Story
Sophie is a cheerful, affectionate senior girl who still enjoys a good romp around the yard followed by a cozy nap indoors. She has great house manners and doesn’t need to be kenneled — she's reliable, and knows how to make herself right at home. This smart lady loves companionship and prefers a quiet home where someone is around to keep her company. Sophie loves the outdoors almost as much as being indoors - in fact, going on daily walks and car outings would really make her happy! She is learning the leash and harness very well. A secure yard with a dog door would be ideal for Sophie, as she loves being able to go in and out freely to enjoy her outdoor time. Sophie is still learning about other dogs and kids, but so far she seems to enjoy romping with the happy gentle dogs in her foster home and she has been equally sweet with the young grandchildren that visit. Sophie does have allergies that require daily medication, but she takes her medicine easily and continues to live a happy, comfortable life. If you’re looking for a loyal, smart companion who will bring warmth and joy to your home, Sophie is ready to meet you! 💛 Interested in adopting Sophie? Apply today at Humanetomorow.org

Black Jack is a small lower mantience dog. He generally just chills around the house. He does need to be the only dog in the household. He enjoys walks, hanging out with humans, and mealtime. He can catch treats mid-air and knows the sit command. Overall he is a joy! (His crate is included!)

Story
Meet Florence. Florence is a beautiful 2-year-old purebred Sheltie looking for a patient, loving home where she can continue to grow and thrive.Weighing 22 lbs, Florence is naturally a bit reserved, but she learns quickly by observing others. She often follows the lead of more confident dogs, especially when she sees them engaging comfortably with people. With gentle encouragement, her sweet personality begins to shine through. Florence came to us from the same elderly breeder who could no longer care for her last group due to declining health. Like many of her companions, she remains somewhat unsocialized and nervous, but she has never shown a hint of aggression—not even during vet exams or vaccinations. Her gentle nature is always present, even in moments of uncertainty. She does wonderfully with other dogs, particularly calm and respectful companions. Having at least one other dog in the home would likely help her continue building confidence—it’s a monkey see, monkey do dynamic that has truly supported her progress here. She’s also picked up on our daily routine quickly, showing she is smart, adaptable, and eager to learn when given patience and kindness.Aside from needing a routine dental, Florence has been fully cleared as healthy by our vets.Adoption fee: $300 We’re flexible for the right home. What matters most is finding adopters who value patience, quiet encouragement, and the joy of watching a shy dog blossom at her own pace.If you’re ready to open your heart to a gentle soul, Florence might be the companion you’ve been waiting for.____Every animal adopted from us receives: Spay/neuter surgery Microchip, Updated vaccinations, Blood and fecal testing (with treatment if needed), Flea/tick and heartworm prevention, A free wellness exam within 7 to 10 days of adoptionTo adopt, you must: Be at least 21 years old & Live within 1 hour of our facilityDo you have any questions, or would you like to set an appointment to meet him and see if he might be the perfect fit for your home?

Story
Meet Chunk -- the Ultimate Lovebug in a Furry Package. Born around April 1, 2025, Chunk entered the world as a fluffy little puffball, earning his name with his irresistible roundness and charm. Today, he&#39s blossomed into a cuddly, goofy, affectionate bundle of joy with a heart as big as his paws. Chunk is a gentle soul who lives for tummy rubs and thrives on love. He adores everyone and everything: people, cats, grasshoppers, squeaky toys, you name it. His sweet, expressive eyes will melt your heart, and when he gets you all to himself, he&#39ll melt right into your arms. His favorite things include treats, toys, playtime, cuddle time, and -- most of all -- affection. He gets along beautifully with other dogs, cats, and children. While he can get a little rowdy when excited, especially around smaller kids, and will just need gentle guidance to learn calm manners. Chunk is looking for a forever home that can offer patience for some more training (he&#39s not housebroken yet), walks and outdoor playtime, a secure yard to romp, and indoor bed for snuggles. In return, Chunk will shower his family with endless love, loyalty, and laughter. He truly is the perfect dog and whoever welcomes him home will be blessed by his giant heart. Chunk is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and boosters, microchipped, and currently on monthly NexGard and Heartgard. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Chunk is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by her foster, not by DFWRM.October 26, 2025, 6:21 pm

Meet Theo -- Your Gentle, Playful Companion! Born around April 1, 2025, Theo is a distinguished young pup with wise eyes and a heart full of sweetness. He adores playing with his littermates and foster family -- adults, kids, and even cats! His floppy ears often flip inside out, and he&#39s happiest lounging on the couch with his people. Theo is a toy enthusiast, especially stuffed ones (though he&#39s known to un-stuff them with gusto!). He&#39s all about treats, cuddles, and soaking up attention. While he can get a little rowdy when excited, he just needs gentle guidance around smaller children. Theo is looking for a loving home with time to help him grow -- crate training, leash walking, and housebreaking are still on his to-do list. He&#39d thrive with an active family, a yard to play in, and a cozy indoor bed to call his own.
