His previous owner adored him, but due to health challenges, she could no longer provide the care he deserves. Now, Romeo is seeking an active, loving home to help him embark on his next chapter. 🏡​ Personality: Loyal and Affectionate: Romeo forms deep bonds with his humans and thrives on companionship. 🥰​ Dog-Friendly: He enjoys the company of smaller dogs like himself and has a particular fondness for Collies and fellow Shelties. 🐶🐾​ Quiet Nature: Unlike many Shelties, who are known for their vocal tendencies, Romeo is relatively quiet and does not bark excessively. ​ Needs: Cat-Free Home: Romeo has a strong prey drive and will actively go after cats and caged animals, so a home without them is essential. 🚫🐱​ Active Lifestyle: He loves daily walks and would benefit from a family committed to regular exercise to help him achieve a healthier weight. 🚶‍♂️🐕​ Secure Yard: A fenced yard will provide Romeo with a safe space to explore and play. 🏞️​ Consistent Companionship: Romeo is accustomed to having a stay-at-home parent and thrives in an environment where someone is present most of the time. At 2 years old and 65 pounds, this gorgeous Collie mix is the very definition of a loving companion—sweet, affectionate, and always hoping to be close enough for you to feel the steady beat of her loyal heart. Amber’s story began in a tiny rural community, where she wandered alone until kind locals stepped in to help her. No one came forward to claim her, but maybe that’s because her real family is still out there—someone who will recognize that she was meant for them. When Critter Cavalry Rescue brought her in, they immediately saw it: her remarkable intelligence, her eagerness to bond, and her gentle, soulful spirit. Amber enjoys every simple pleasure with pure gratitude—exploring the world on her harness, leaning in for affection, and curling up with her beloved stuffed bunny, who has become her constant companion. She loves being brushed, loves being talked to, and really loves being included. Amber gets along with other dogs, though her enthusiasm may be a bit much for calmer companions. As for cats… well, they’re a little mysterious and intimidating to her. But people? She adores them—wholeheartedly. This beautiful girl is ready to become someone’s heart dog… that once-in-a-lifetime companion who fills a home with warmth, softness, and quiet devotion.
