Story
How this pet arrived: Sydney was brought in by previous owner on June 16, 2026. Why this pet is the one for you:Sydney is a fun, active girl who's ready to bring lots of energy, personality, and dog-friendly charm to her new home! She has a positive history with other dogs and may enjoy having a canine buddy to play with and hang out alongside. Sydney is looking for an adopter who can help her with one of her biggest challenges: feeling comfortable when left alone. She'll need a family that understands separation-related behaviors and is ready to work with her patiently, consistently, and compassionately so she can build confidence during alone time. She can also be a little extra excited when meeting new people, so she'll benefit from guidance that rewards calm behavior and keeps greetings low-key and positive. With plenty of mental and physical enrichment and an adopter who's ready to cheer her on, Sydney has lots of potential to thrive. Story
How this pet arrived: Walrus was brought in by Humane Law Enforcement on March 2, 2026. Why this pet is the one for you:Despite her name, Walrus is actually a dog-not a marine mammal-but she does share a walrus's talent for lounging and making people smile. This sweet girl is looking for a patient family who will let her open up at her own pace. Walrus would like to be the only dog in the home so she can soak up all the love and attention for herself (she believes she's earned it). If there are children in the household, they should be 10 years or older and available to meet her before adoption to make sure everyone is a good match. If you're looking for a best friend who blossoms with patience and love, Walrus is ready to make a splash in your life!At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. This pet is now ready for adoption!Shy/Fearful Dog: This pet requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Cream Weight: 21 Age: 4yrs 3mths 2wks
