So far we are scheduled every 1st Saturday of each month to be having events in the afternoon from 3 to 5:30 pm at Petsmart: 4253 Genesee Ave, San Diego, CA 92117 (06/03/23 next following Sat) Ju-na is a wonderful 6 month old puppu - She is a low-shedding hypoallergenic PugAdoodle - Mom is a Poodle and dad is a purebred Pug - so she is a hybrid PugAdoodle as popular as a Poogles. However the energy of the Pug is much calmer than the energy of the Beagles. Juna is so great with kids, and other dogs - and cats as well - She will need to have another dog companion for her to be the best she can be. Therefore, a 2nd dog is a must to adopt Juna. Story
String Bean entered Bonita Shelter as an emaciated, matted stray who was struggling to stand on his own. After he wasn't claimed, we welcomed him as a Frosted Face on January 6th. String Bean is estimated to be 12 years old and weighs 56 lbs. Despite all he's been through, he is a very sweet and friendly boy. String Bean went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could receive lots of TLC in the comfort of a home while we learned more about him. He is doing so well that his fling has been upgraded to a foster home until he is adopted! His foster mom shares: "String Bean (SB) is so gentle with our little dogs. He sniffs them and goes on his way. He is eating great. SB loves car rides. He is fascinated with looking out the back window. We have learned that SB barks when he needs something. He has let us know he needs to go potty, and that he was hungry. Pretty impressive! SB went to the beach today and could not get enough. To say he loved it is an understatement. He was rocking & rolling on his new wheels! I love seeing him smile! He was the hit at dog beach. I have one happy tired boy tonight!" Be sure to watch the videos of String Bean loving life at the beach and how much he loves being petted! To meet String Bean, please email: placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org

Story
Frankie is a sweet older girl who still loves adventures and has plenty of energy to keep her furever family busy. Frankie loves going and doing everything with her family. She is great in the car, rides in a basket on a bike, enjoys the paddle board, and chills at the beach, restaurants, and bars. If they allow dogs she wants to be there… as long as she is with her people she is happy. She absolutely loves her walks and can easily walk for over an hour a couple times a day. Frankie does have some significant separation anxiety and is crate trained. She requires CBD oil, a routine, and her crate when she is going to be home alone (even for short periods of time). She just gets very anxious and is determined to get to her family, which often means scratching and destroying doors, trim, and walls. The CBD oil and crate help so much, but she does still whine and bark for periods of time when left alone. Her furever family would be best if home a lot, or if not, able to adhere to a routine when leaving and live by forgiving neighbors who don’t mind a howl or bark. Frankie loves people but she isn’t too sure about other dogs. She is totally calm when she sees another dog and if they keep their distance she is great. She is tolerant of small dogs, but does not like bigger dogs or dogs who have a lot of energy. She has perfected the ‘get away from me’ growl and if a dog backs off she is perfect. If dogs leave her alone she is great and would be perfect with a chill, smaller doggie sibling. Frankie loves to be petted and snuggle up with her humans. She sleeps in her crate or her doggie bed and is potty trained. She is a good eater and will do anything for a treat:) She is currently able to follow the commands of sit, stay (working on increasing distance), down, and ‘in’ for her crate. She walks well on a leash and gets so excited for her walks. She isn’t really a ‘playful’ dog, so she gets her exercise with her walks:) Frankie startles easily with loud noises and would do best in a calmer, quieter home with no small children. She is selective with what she wants and doesn’t want, but she is an older gal and she deserves the best. If Frankie sounds like your perfect match fill out an application today…Fill out an adoption application directly on our website at www.lionelslegacy.org
