Story
Palmer-Labradoodle male, ~ 6 yr. (Feb. 2026) Palmer was rescued from a high kill shelter. He was adopted, but unfortunately, the family fell onto bad times and split up. All the pets were sent back to their original rescues and Palmer was warmly welcomed back by his foster home in Bourbon County Rescue. He's accepted the changes in his life but we do want him to has his very own family again. Where he can have the security and love he so longs for. Palmer is a nice medium sized dog with a lot of personality. He's an active dog, who needs an experienced owner/family with an active lifestyle to keep him mentally and physically challenged. He's a loyal dog, bonds easily to people and is a friend to all. Palmer is about 40-45#. A home without small children and cats would be best. He may be too exuberant for them. Palmer gets along well with other dogs. His adoption fee is $300 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. Story
Rosie-Standard Poodle, Black female, ~ 4 yr. (Feb. 2026) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application Rosie came to rescue when her older owner could no longer care for her. The other dog had passed away and Rosie is alone. The lady thought she'd be happier in a young, more active home. She's a loving dog, used to living with other dogs. The Poodle stands proudly among dogdom's true aristocrats. Beneath the curly, low-allergen coat is an elegant athlete and companion for all reasons and seasons. Poodles are eager, athletic, and smart dogs of remarkable versatility. The Standard Poodle, with their greater size and strength, is the best all-around athlete of the family, but all Poodles can be trained with great success. Rosie's weight is about 50#, we'll have a definite weight after her Vet visit this week. Rosie's adoption fee is $600 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. Story
Cal-Poodle male, ~ 1-2 yr. (Dec. 2025) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Cal came to Rescue when his prior owner called for help. They are traveling a lot for work and just felt it was in Cal's best interest to have a home where he wouldn't be alone so much. He's a beauty, with a friendly disposition and a lot of love to give. Cal is about 65-70# and is probably fully grown. Poodles can be very good family dogs due to their intelligence, affectionate nature, and loyalty. Cal is used to living in a family setting with adults. Poodles are highly trainable and generally get along well with children and other pets when properly socialized. He has lived with other dogs, with no problems, although will enjoy getting to see more of the world with a new family. He requires a fair amount of mental and physical exercise, consistent grooming, and will thrive when he is included in family life rather than being left alone for long periods. Cal's adoption fee is $600 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.
