Rosie-Standard Poodle, Black female, ~ 4 yr. (Feb. 2026) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application Rosie came to rescue when her older owner could no longer care for her. The other dog had passed away and Rosie is alone. The lady thought she'd be happier in a young, more active home. She's a loving dog, used to living with other dogs. The Poodle stands proudly among dogdom's true aristocrats. Beneath the curly, low-allergen coat is an elegant athlete and companion for all reasons and seasons. Poodles are eager, athletic, and smart dogs of remarkable versatility. The Standard Poodle, with their greater size and strength, is the best all-around athlete of the family, but all Poodles can be trained with great success. Rosie's weight is about 50#, we'll have a definite weight after her Vet visit this week. Rosie's adoption fee is $600 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Please include your location and a phone number for future communication.

Cal-Poodle male, ~ 1-2 yr. (Dec. 2025) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Cal came to Rescue when his prior owner called for help. They are traveling a lot for work and just felt it was in Cal's best interest to have a home where he wouldn't be alone so much. He's a beauty, with a friendly disposition and a lot of love to give. Cal is about 65-70# and is probably fully grown. Poodles can be very good family dogs due to their intelligence, affectionate nature, and loyalty. Cal is used to living in a family setting with adults. Poodles are highly trainable and generally get along well with children and other pets when properly socialized. He has lived with other dogs, with no problems, although will enjoy getting to see more of the world with a new family. He requires a fair amount of mental and physical exercise, consistent grooming, and will thrive when he is included in family life rather than being left alone for long periods. Cal's adoption fee is $600 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.

Story
Lollipop is a little sweetheart and she has tons of personality! Her mom is a small B&W rat terrier mix and dad is a doodle. Mom was taken in as a stray by a lady with an unaltered doodle. Before she could find a rescue to help with mom, she became pregnant. Lollipop was the runt in the litter. She is friendly, loving and smart! She is also a major snuggler! She likes to wrap her head around your neck and nestle in! Lolli is great with other dogs and people of all ages. She has not been around a cat yet but we are confident she will be fine with proper intro. Being the runt, she always seems to end up on the bottom and she still plays hard and never gets mad! Lolli is healthy, UTD on puppy shots and worming. She will be spayed and microchipped before going to her forever home. Based on puppy weight calculators we think she will be between 25 and 35 lbs. If you would like to add this sweetheart to your family, please email omlc7@hotmail.com or dogs4mylife@gmail.com. If you do not see a response, please check your spam folder.

Story
Hello there! Are you looking for a dog fit for a giant? Well, you’ve found me!My name is Dooby, and I’m almost 5 years old. I weigh over 100 pounds, so yes — I’m a big, strong boy! But don’t let my size fool you. I’ve got a total heart of gold for my people. I might need just a little time to warm up when we first meet. I like to take a moment to sniff and make sure you pass the vibe check. Got some cheese or hotdogs? That definitely speeds things up! Once I know you’re a friend, get ready for tail wags, happy smiles, and maybe even a big full-body hug. I don’t always realize how large I am… so I hope you’ve got a super-sized lap, because I will absolutely try to fit in it.I’ve got a beautiful curly golden coat and a happy, smiley personality to match. When I’m comfortable, I’m all about cuddles and being close to my favorite humans. If you’re patient, kind, and ready for a whole lot of love in a very large package, I think we might be perfect for each other.Come meet me — I can’t wait to find my new best friend!Interested in adopting me? We recommend submitting a general online adoption application and then heading to the shelter during our normal adoption hours (Mon: 12-4pm and Tues-Sun: 12-5pm) to meet our available animals. Please note: all applications are considered general until the animal has been met. If you have any questions, please contact animalcenter@bmorehumane.org or 410-833-8848 Ext/Opt 2
