Rambo-Poodle/German Shepard male, ~14 mo. (Dec. 2024) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for application Rambo came to rescue recently after being evaluated to be a Service Dog. He's been through a Prison Training program and has learned so much. Rambo has been deemed for a pet/companion home. The trainer says he has a good temperament and made so many good strides, having had a rough start in life. He is house trained and crate trained, having lived in an apartment at the prison, with his inmate trainer. He's had basic obedience. He learned about grooming and good husbandry skills. Rambo is good with other dogs. He has not met cats, but doesn't have the personality to bother them. He has not lived with children due to being in the Prison Program but with his great personality, seems to have alot of potential as a family dog. He is a medium/large, and will enjoy an active life. Rambo's adoption fee is $600 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. His mom was a mix of Standard Poodle and Airedale, giving him a slightly rough coat, soulful eyes, and a sharp mind to match his good looks. This smart boy was born around Oct.1, 2024 and is already making great progress with crate and potty training, thanks to his foster mom’s dedication. He’s highly intelligent and eager to learn, especially when treats and toys are involved! Bronson has already mastered “sit” and is well on his way to being a well-mannered companion. Friendly and affectionate, Bronson gets along wonderfully with kids, cats, and other dogs. His mom was a unique mix of half Standard Poodle and half Airedale, so Brandon is destined to grow into a big, lovable boy that could weigh 60 pounds. His foster mom has been working hard on his crate training and potty training, and he’s already mastered “sit.” He’s great with kids, cats, and other dogs, making him a perfect fit for just about any type of family. This big, leggy guy is all about making friends ~ whether it’s with hoomans or fellow pups, he wants to collect ALL the friends! Peanut loves his daily walks and playing fetch in the yard. The Trainer coordinates a Prison Training Program and placed Gene in that program. After evaluation, they decided Gene would be happiest as a family pet, versus a working service dog. The trainer says he has a great temperament. He is housetrained and crate trained. He's had basic obedience. He understands grooming. Gene is also okay with other dogs. He is an energetic dog and will enjoy an active lifestyle. He has a prey drive and loves to play and chase balls and birds. He may be too high energy for a home with cats. He's also bred to be smart and loyal. Gene is a big boy, over 50#, but is full grown. Due to his size and limited life experiences so far, the trainer feels older children would be recommended. He seems to have a lot of potential as a family dog. Gene's adoption fee is $600 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption.
