**FREDDY is a Patient Paw, please ask about their reduced adoption fee and the possibility of a sleepover!**Freddy is available through our `Adopt From a Foster Home` program. If you are interested in scheduling a meeting, please fill out the request form here: Adopt From Foster Form. Please do not make an appointment through our online booking calendar, as he is not available to meet on site.Freddy is a sweet, gentle giant with a big heart. His favourite place is right beside his person (especially on the couch) where he’ll lean back into you for hugs and cheek smooches. Inside his foster home, Freddy is very relaxed and polite, happy to settle on his own (often under a desk) after some social time.He knows `sit`, `lie down`, `shake a paw`, and `drop it`, and he loves playing fetch. He`ll bring the toy right back and drop it in front of you for more! Encouraging more playtime with Freddy will be very crucial to helping him lose a bit of weight. Walks are a work in progress; Freddy prefers to lead, and due to his big body, he is quite strong! Despite this, he is getting better each day with positive reinforcement. Outside, he can feel overwhelmed by busy environments and loud noises like traffic or trains, but as long as he`s got his person, his confidence shines.Freddy has lived with a young child with no issues and may do well with a dog-savvy cat. He has also had doggie friends before, but does have a history of resource guarding food and toys. This will need to be closely managed if you have your own pup in home! If you think this sweetheart could be your missing piece, fill out the Adopt from Foster form today!Freddy is:- open to kids- open to dog-savvy cats- open to dogs
