Hi! I am Gatsby a 2yr old, 45 lb, Pit mix looking for my forever family.  I am UTD, neutered, microchipped, house trained, crate trained, and a super duper smart/eager to please boy.  I was born in the woods and spent the first two months of my life living out in the wild so because of that, I need a special home.  I am basically fearful of people and you can not just walk up to me and pet me, I need to get to know you will not hurt me first.  Because of that, we want to find an adopter who will be patient and will continue working with his trainer, this will be included with his adoption at no extra cost.  So living in the Orlando area is best.  Once I know and trust you I am your best friend and I will give you my heart and soul!!!   I currently live with a pack of pups and I do great with dogs after proper introductions.  I have been through training and boarding at the facility to help with my social skills and confidence.   I have seen cats before and would likely do well with a confident one if you teach me how to live with them. A home without small kids would be ideal, only because I am still learning to not be so scared of things and they can be fast and noisy.  I can't wait to find my forever family, could it be you? Adoption requirements are as such:  A loving family with older kiddos to be his cuddle buddy, ball thrower, and adventure pal Fenced in yard  Willingness to do training sessions (covered by the rescue)  No apartments   Please note, Gatsby is part of Happy Trails Animal Rescue’s rehoming program. Hi! I'm Jeffrey! I'm looking for a very special home willing to train me on house training and the indoor lifestyle. I've spent my entire life living outside in a pen. So, I don't have experience with other animals or living inside a house. I am a little anxious when meeting new people, but once I warm up, I'll be your best friend! I am loyal and very loving! Jeffery is a 7-year-old, 78 lb, German Shepard looking for his forever family. He is UTD and will be neutered by the time he is adopted. Jeffery is low energy and would love a family who will understand him and be willing to work with him while transitioning into an indoor dog life. Due to the limited history it is unknown if he is good around cats, dogs, or kids. In order to set him up for success, an experienced home with no kids or pets that is dedicated to helping him learn to socialize is needed. We would NOT be interested in placing Jeffrey in another outdoor living situation - at his age and with the weather in Florida, he deserves a roof over his head. We would be open to placement in a "shop dog" type scenario if he had a climate controlled shop/garage or barn to relax in and escape the elements.  Adoption requirements are as such: No other pets  No kids under 16 due to limited history Experience with undersocialzied/anxious pups Not a first time dog owner No apts/condos Experience with large dogs   Jeffrey has to find his new forever home because his owner passed away and he's currently being cared for by his owner's grandson. Odie is a 2 year old bully breed mix. He is active, spunky and silly. He is housebroken, has good house manners and is crate trained. He is friendly and outgoing and would likely love kids to play with, but he might be too much for very young children - older kids who like to rough house would be his perfect match. He is not good with other animals and needs to be the only pet in the home. He is strong on the leash and needs leash training and would need an owner who is able to handle a strong dog on the leash and has time to dedicate to training - we can provide training support at no cost! Adoption fee: $150 Odie is neutered and current on vaccines. Adoptions are by appointment only, please fill out an application to get started. *NOTE: Odie is part of our rehoming program - a diversion program that helps keep pets out of shelters by assisting their owners in finding new homes that are a better fit so they don't need to be surrendered.
