Story
Ophelia`s (A563820) Doggie Day Out brought some respite for this stunning beauty. If you`re seeking an intelligent and active canine companion to share exhilarating runs, hikes, and walks with, and who will melt your heart with cuddles, Ophelia is your ideal match! I was captivated by her unique sweet spirit and her split ear became a distinctive charm I found in all my photos. As they say, she`s truly rocking it! Ophelia could be seen frolicking in the yard with her plush toy, eagerly awaiting a playmate. Once she`d released her pent-up energy, she`d lean beside me for cuddles, her soulful eyes radiating a deep longing for love. A fascinating aspect of Ophelia`s personality is her swift response to a whistle, instantly directing her attention to her handler. As a treat-motivated dog, Ophelia settled into her leisurely long stroll, gazing up at me for verbal praise and treats. She`s on her way to becoming a better walker. I discovered Ophelia to be remarkably receptive to training, effortlessly clearing the hurdle, navigating tunnels, and responding to commands. In fact, she thrives on following instructions and grows increasingly confident with each accomplishment. She reveled in her enrichment activities, from savoring peanut butter from the Kong to uncovering treats in the puzzle and indulging in a peanut butter lick pad during bath time. Ophelia has perfect manners when taking a treat or eating a pupcup. Ophelia stole my heart today (and my peanut butter). She`s destined to become the perfect loyal companion for an active individual who can devote time to training her growth in return for her unwavering love and devotion.

Story
From Ivy`s previous adopter who had to return her through no fault of Ivy`s:At the shelter Ivy seemed to be a little withdrawn and quite scared. Once we were out of the shelter, she showed us her energetic, smart, and sweet personality. She enjoys long walks and chasing toys in the yard. She seems to know a few commands and appears to learn new things quickly. She seems to be house broken, and quickly figured out the doggy door. She went into a crate easily and settled into it quickly, so she may be crate trained. She is easily motivated with treats and takes them gently. She seeks attention and affection and loves a good butt scratch. We were told she may be mouthy and that she is weird about hands near her head. We did notice that she would grab our hands with her mouth to get our attention, and also when she was playing. She never did this in a way to hurt us. She did shy away from any hands near her head if they did not come from the front where she could see them. This seemed to get better after a short amount of time as she started to feel more comfortable around us. From her foster: Ivy is very loving girl. She is a little hesitant at first, but if she meets someone new and they tell her she is a good girl and let her sniff them before petting, she immediately decides they are a friend, and starts giving kisses. She loves to play with squeaky toys and chase the ball (she hasn`t quite figured out about returning the ball). She matches the energy of the humans; she`s up for play, but also loves to relax or nap while the humans are watching TV. She enjoys walks, but does pull on the leash, especially if she sees a squirrel or lizard. I was warned that she can be mouthy, but the only time we`ve seen that is when she`s playing; otherwise she`s fine. She doesn`t bite down, just tries to put her mouth around your hand while playing.

Rocky is a beautiful two year old German Shepherd. He is friendly and outgoing with people and has lived with kids of all ages and done very well. He is crate trained but has spent a lot of his life living outside and so he still needs a little work and patience on potty training in the house, but he is a quick learner. He came to us because he was not getting along well with the other dog in his previous home, we do think he would do best as an only dog.  Adoption fee $150, includes:Dog spayed and current on vaccinations.30 days of free pet insurance through MetLifeA free "clean start" bath, ear cleaning, teeth brushing and nail trim at ScenthoundFree training support for the life of the pet, including group classes. Story
Sasha is being fostered in PA. Sasha needs to be an only dog. She does not like active dogs Sasha can ONLY be adopted to a home with older children or all adults. Sasha is NOT good with cats. Sasha is spayed. Christmas time is here, soon a new year will dawn, and I’m still patiently waiting for my furever home and that special family to give me lots of love and belly rubs. I enjoy walks and will do OK without a fenced yard if you take me out on walking adventures. If you have a fenced yard I will run and play with you. I just enjoy the company of peeps. I don’t care to be with other dogs, just be by myself with my humans. I am a good girl in the house…unless you leave tasty morsels of food on the counter. Then I may just have to help myself! I know Sit, Down, am learning Wait, but I don’t really want to wait, hee hee. I also do pretty well on a leash. I’m still working on some other things like no jumping up on my peeps. I just want to greet and say Hi and give kisses and hugs to my peeps. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
