Story
Meet Boujor (pronounced BOO-JOOR) it means “small” in Armenian language but she’s a pretty big dog. She is 8 years old. She’s the kind of dog who’s happiest just being by your side. She’s vocal, goofy, and sweet, and looking for a loving home to give her love back too. With 2 young children at home and a very small backyard due to our new home purchase, we can no longer give her the life she deserves. We are looking for someone who can give her the care, love, and attention she deserves.

Story
💚 CANYON IS SEEKING A HOSPICE HOME 💚 Hey, everyone—it’s me, Canyon. I’m doing well and staying in a very temporary foster home so I don’t have to return to boarding. I’m incredibly grateful, but what I really need is a permanent fospice home where I can spend the rest of my days feeling safe, comfortable, and deeply loved. I’m a sweet senior gentleman with hospice needs, and I must be the only dog in the home. My fospice family will also need to live in or near the Boise area so I can remain close to Green Heart Rescue’s trusted veterinary team. Fospice means that you provide the home, companionship, and love, while Green Heart Rescue covers my approved veterinary care and nutritional needs. I may be in the final chapter of my life, but that doesn’t mean my story is over. I still have so much love to give—and I deserve to spend whatever time I have left with someone who will cherish me. Could you be my safe place?

Story
Chihuahua mix, you say?!? Embark says I’m 2% chihuahua, but don’t hold it against me! Hi, I’m Benji! I’m about 4 years old, and if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I LOVE my people. Being with my humans is my favorite place to be, and I have more than enough love to fill your whole heart — I promise to give it back to you tenfold. I’m a happy, goofy guy who believes life is better when you’re having fun. I love playing fetch and tug, carrying around stuffed animals, going for short walks, riding in the car, relaxing on cozy couches, getting snuggles and generally finding ways to make my people smile. I’m also pretty talented at being completely ridiculous... including being upside down. I’m happiest when I’m hanging out with my people, whether we’re playing, snuggling, relaxing, or just spending time together. I adore human company and can happily entertain myself at home while my person is at work, too, no problem. I’m a young guy, but I do have some arthritis struggles, so I’ll need a family who understands that my body needs a little extra care. I’ll need regular veterinary care throughout my life, nutritious food, help maintaining a healthy weight, and gentle, light exercise to help keep me comfortable, active, and feeling my best. Short walks and playtime are perfect for me — I don’t need to be an athlete to be happy! One important thing about me: I need to be your one-and-only pet. I have plenty of love to give and would be happiest being the only furry member of the family. In return, you’ll get a devoted companion who will happily make you the center of his world. I’ve been waiting a very, very long time for my forever family. Green Heart Rescue pulled me from an overcrowded California shelter when I was facing an approaching euthanasia deadline, and I’ve been waiting ever since for someone to finally say, “You’re home.” I don’t need a perfect family. I just need my family. Someone who will love my goofy personality, appreciate my big heart, take care of my special needs, and let me be the happy, silly, affectionate boy I am. Could that someone be you? My favorites: People, people, and more people Fetch & tug Car rides Stuffed animals Short walks Cozy couches Snuggles Being goofy Being upside down Berry treats
