Story
Luca is a 2½-year-old, 70–75 lb neutered male who is as loving as he is goofy. He forms strong bonds quickly and adores people, often following his favorite humans from room to room just to be near them. He thrives on companionship and truly shines when he’s part of the action, whether that’s playing, snuggling, or just hanging out with his family. While he may get a little excited when meeting new people, he settles quickly and is eager to please, making him a wonderful companion for an active and attentive household. Luca balances playfulness with independence — he can entertain himself when needed, but his favorite moments are always spent close to his humans, soaking up affection and attention. He is gentle and patient with children, dog and cat friendly (even with kittens), and gets along well with other pets. Luca is crate trained (no soft beds), potty trained, and knows how to enjoy both energetic play sessions and quiet downtime. His easygoing, adaptable personality makes him a joy to have around, but he also flourishes with structure, routine, and consistent guidance from his people. This sweet, affectionate boy is a high-priority adoption, urgently needing a stable, loving home or foster. He will thrive with owners who can provide daily mental and physical enrichment, plenty of love, and consistent care. Luca is a big-hearted goofball — playful, loyal, and affectionate — but he also knows how to relax and enjoy peaceful moments curled up next to his favorite humans. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Luca is ready for a committed, understanding home that will appreciate his goofy, loving personality and give him the stability, attention, and companionship he deserves. Located in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Story
Millie’s story is one of resilience and love. She came to us after her owners moved away and left her—and several others—behind. When she was found, she was heavily pregnant and actually in labor. Within 24 hours, she delivered seven healthy puppies, a true testament to her strength and determination. Millie is a BIG girl, weighing 80lbs, you can tell she is food motivated! She is fully potty-trained and does wonderfully in her kennel—a remarkable achievement considering she spent most of her life outdoors. She gets along beautifully with both dogs and cats, though honestly, she barely notices them. Millie’s world revolves around her people and affection. It’s clear she was deprived of love for much of her life, and now that she’s experiencing it, she can’t get enough. She’s a true velcro dog—following you everywhere (except, amusingly, the bathroom, which she’s oddly terrified of!). She thrives on cuddles, pets, kisses, and constant attention, soaking up love at every opportunity. Her desire for affection can be a little overwhelming at times, but after all she’s endured, it’s completely understandable—and impossible not to love. Millie is smart, food-motivated, and learning new tricks every day. When she’s not showering her people with love, Millie enjoys lounging in bed, sprawling on the couch, or stretching out on the kitchen floor. She’s a big fan of naps and comfort, and she’s recently begun playing gently with other dogs. For the first time in her life, she’s learning what it means to just be a dog—no puppies to care for, no stress—and it’s been a joy to watch. Millie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. She is ready to bring love, loyalty, and endless snuggles into the life of the family lucky enough to adopt her. Story
Tater is an 8–9-year-old Pit Bull mix with a remarkable spirit and a playful, loving personality, despite a past filled with unimaginable hardship. Originally rescued from Georgia by a Kentucky rescue, Tater endured severe abuse as a bait dog and suffered further trauma when acid was poured on him. He was later seized by local animal control due to hoarding and cruelty, eventually spending time in a very crowded shelter before finally being brought to safety. Tater’s ears, once big and pointy, are now deformed from untreated ear infections and hematomas. He is also deaf, likely due to years of neglect, and he has only three toes, each telling a story of the struggles he has overcome. Despite all of this, Tater’s spirit has never been broken. He is incredibly resilient, affectionate, and full of life. He currently lives with three cats and five other dogs and does amazing with them all. He enjoys play and interaction but also naps frequently throughout the day. Tater loves his kennel and will happily put himself up for naps without issue. He does not get on furniture, making him easy to manage in the home, and he enjoys his own quiet space. Tater absolutely loves people and thrives on attention. Baths and handling are easy for him, and he especially enjoys butt scratches and gentle pets, leaning into affection with a joyful, trusting heart. He is playful and energetic in his own way, showing that even after everything he has endured, he still finds joy in life. Tater is potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained. Because he is deaf, he does not require a fenced yard, but he must be supervised and kept on a leash when outside for his safety. He is not recommended for cats outside of his current supervised environment and is recommended for homes with children 7 and older. While he enjoys the company of some dogs, he would do best as the only dog in the home or with calm, older dogs who understand boundaries and won’t crowd him. He thrives with people who can give him structure, consistency, and gentle guidance while respecting his pace and space. Tater is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. He is looking for a patient, loving forever home that will see past his scars and provide the comfort, stability, and affection he has always deserved. Those who take the time to understand Tater will be rewarded with a devoted, joyful companion whose loyalty and love are endless. Located in Richmond, Kentucky.
