Story
Bailey is almost 5 years old and in his 5 years of life, he has quite a story to tell.Bailey came to us a few years ago when animal control rescued him from the very poor condition him and his brother were living in. It was awful, it was heartbreaking, and we knew there was better out there for Bailey.Court takes a while, so unfortunately Bailey and his brother had to stay at the shelter (not available for adoption) for several months. The fortunate thing was, the shelter life was a big step up from their previous living conditions, so they kind of settled in. There were wonderful volunteers that would give them lots of attention, take them on day trips...to Bailey, he was living the life he dreamed of!We promised him, there was more, better for him! The court case came and gone, the people responsible were held accountable, and most excitingly this meant that Bailey and his brother could make their debut to the world and start looking for homes!It took some time, eventually Bailey's brother got adopted, and then...Bailey. It was a beautiful day, it was a lovely young couple, all were overjoyed for Bailey headed off to start the best part of his life yet, a home!Sadly, after a break up, he was returned to the shelter. Everyone's hearts broke. Bailey was confused, and now that he had some "home-life" he didn't love being back at the shelter. Everyone started searching for a new home for Bailey, and in not too much time, one was found! Lucky him, he was adopted again! We kept hearing good news of his adoption, a year passed, all was good - until it wasn't....and, well, here we are....Bailey is back at the shelter for the 3rd time. Not one time being his fault, not one.The biggest broken heart is Bailey's. Can you help us? Will you adopt him? Share his story so he can find his people?Bailey is over 60 pounds but certainly can lose some weight to be his best and healthiest self.He LOVES water. He loves it so much he sometimes dunks his whole head in his water bucket.He does well with other dogs, they are his friends.Cats, as of most recently, we are not seeing any reaction to cats and would entertain a cat home.Bailey is gentle, kind, and loving. He would be great fit to any home looking for a dog.We are telling him "3rd times a charm" and hoping that holds true for him. Adopt Bailey, the rescue story we NEED a happy ending to.
