She came to us after her previous owner made the difficult decision to surrender her due to not having enough time—but Vixxen hasn’t let that dim her spirit one bit. She’s incredibly smart and loves getting out of her kennel. In fact, she’ll do just about anything to make sure you notice her! Her kennel manners might not be picture-perfect, but that’s only because she’s working overtime to make sure you hear her and don’t pass her by. Once that kennel door opens, her true self shines—she’s ready to walk, play, and soak up all the love she can get. 🤗 Vixxen is a strong, solid girl weighing around 65–70 lbs. She’s dog-friendly, loyal to her people, and would thrive with a family who’s ready to give her the time and attention she’s been missing. Otto Kemp 's Story Otto Kemp is a handsome 2-year-old German Shepherd who came to the shelter as a stray, but you’d never guess it from his sweet and easygoing personality. This 63-pound good boy has quickly shown everyone what a wonderful companion he can be. Otto gets along well with other dogs and would likely do just fine in a home with a dog-savvy cat. He’s still brushing up on his leash manners and can pull when he’s excited, but the good news is that he’s non-reactive and eager to learn. With a bit of guidance and consistency, Otto will make great progress. Paris's Story 🌸 Meet Paris 🌸 This stunning 3-year-old Old English Bulldog mix has been with us since 6/26, and what a journey she’s had. Paris was returned once for being “growly,” but we’re happy to share — that’s not the whole story. Since leaving that situation, Paris has been showing up beautifully. Paris spent most of her life living outdoors. Adjusting to indoor life has been a big transition, but with time, patience, and a loving foster home, she has truly started to shine. Watching her learn what it means to feel safe inside a home has been incredible. 💛 What We’ve Learned in Foster: • She prefers women — she bonds more quickly and seems to feel safest with them. • She needs to be the only pet in the home. • She is crate trained when left alone. Paris is looking for an experienced dog owner — not a first-time home — who understands decompression, structure, and slow introductions. Dogs who grow up outdoors often need patience and guidance to fully adjust to home life. With the right leadership and consistency, they flourish… and Paris is well on her way. She doesn’t need perfection — she needs understanding. She doesn’t need instant trust — she needs someone willing to earn it. And once you do?
