Story
ugo's Story Meet Hugo 💙 Male • Pitbull • ~50 lbs • Handsome boy Hugo is so over the kennel life—and honestly, we don’t blame him. Being in the cage already sends him into overstimulation, and trying to put him back in is truly heartbreaking. His anxiety ramps up fast, and it’s clear this environment is just too much for him. When it comes to food, Hugo eats like it might disappear—devouring meals as if it’s the first he’s had in months. We’re working on slow feeding so he doesn’t make himself sick, and helping him learn that food will always be there and never taken away. Because of this, he’s not very gentle with treats yet—he’s still in survival mode. Despite all of that, Hugo is an absolute charmer. He loved every new person he met and soaked up the attention. He’s a strong pull on leash, so leash training and a confident handler will be important as he settles in. ✅ Dog friendly ✅ Cat friendly 👶 We suggest older kids only, due to his high food drive and lack of awareness around little fingers Hugo is a sweet, social, affectionate boy who is completely done with kennel life and desperately needs a home—or foster—that will give him stability, patience, and space to decompress. Once he does, we know this boy is going to shine. If you’re ready for a handsome, loving dog who just needs a chance, Hugo is waiting 🐶💙 💌 Adoption application: https://www.g Show more

Story
Raggedy Ann 's Story Meet Raggedy Ann 🐾💔➡️❤️ Raggedy Ann is a beautiful female German Shepherd, about 3 years old, who was found alone in the woods and clearly hasn’t known the care she deserved. She came to us in rough shape—thin, with severe skin issues, and evidence of long-term neglect. Despite all of that, she is nothing but sweet, gentle, and loving. She is currently on antibiotics for her skin (2 more weeks) along with weekly medicated baths. We are very hopeful this treatment will resolve her skin issues. However, if she does not improve, she may require additional medical testing (such as allergy or autoimmune testing). ✨ What we are looking for: • A foster who can give her a quiet, loving place to heal • Or an adopter who understands her situation and is willing to take on any future medical responsibility if further testing is needed 👉 Important to know: • If Raggedy Ann is adopted, any further testing beyond her current treatment would be the adopter’s responsibility • If she goes into foster, the shelter will continue to cover medical care to an extent Our biggest goal is to get her out of the kennel. Waiting two more weeks in a loud, stressful shelter environment could really impact her mentally—we don’t want that for her. She deserves peace while we help her heal. 🐕 Raggedy Ann at a glance: • 53 lbs • Dog friendly • Cat friendly Show more
