Story
Meet Paige, a charming, petite pitbull terrier with a beautiful tan coat. Born around September 2022, she’s already spayed and up to date her vaccines, making her ready for her forever home. Paige is housebroken and crate-trained, showcasing her excellent manners. Full of energy, she thrives on playful activities and enriching mental stimulation. While she currently lives in an urban area, we believe she would absolutely flourish in a peaceful suburban or rural setting with a secure fenced yard. The city noises can be overwhelming for her, and a quieter environment would allow her to truly shine. We adore this delightful girl, and we’re certain you will too! Don’t miss the chance to welcome Paige into your life—apply today! https://www.hart2heartanimalrescue.com/forms/form?formid=6527

Story
Luke is the kind of dog who lives for the joy of movement—ears flying, paws pounding, tail wagging as he races around a yard without a care in the world. At just 4 years old, this white mixed-breed terrier is bursting with energy and heart, and he’s ready to share it all with a family of his own. Luke is looking for a special home: adult-only or older dog-savvy teens, where he can be the only pet, and with a fenced yard for him to run and run to his heart’s content. After a day of play, he’s a fantastic car companion, sleeps soundly in his crate, and happily chews on a good bone. He even “watches” basketball on TV, cocking his head to the sounds of the game. But as unstoppable as Luke’s spirit is, his world is quietly changing—he’s losing his vision. It can’t be fixed, but it hasn’t slowed him down one bit. Luke doesn’t need expensive medical care or special treatment. He’s still the same vibrant, playful boy, ready to run, love, and live life to the fullest with the people who finally choose him. What Luke needs most is someone who sees beyond what’s fading and recognizes everything he still is: vibrant, loving, and ready to give his whole heart. Luke has waited long enough for his second chance. Could you be the one to give it to him? Apply today to give Luke the forever he’s been dreaming of: https://www.hart2heartanimalrescue.com/forms/form?formid=6527

Story
Les Paul was brought to ACCT Philly on January 3, 2026 after being picked up as a stray. He was reportedly looping the block and attempting to board buses, drawing attention for his curious and adventurous spirit. Once safely at the shelter, Les Paul quickly showed himself to be a friendly, social dog who enjoys human interaction and exploring his surroundings. Les Paul is now in foster care and doing great! If you're interested in meeting him, you can submit an application on our website and reach out to foster@acctphilly.org. Here's what his foster has had to say about him so far: 2/6: We plan to keep Les Paul as a long-term foster as he has settled in with us really well and we truly enjoy watching him grow into a confident, healthy dog. He has finished his medication of clindamycin (300mg twice a day) and seems to be feeling much better. He does have an occasional wheezing fit when he gets excited and will sneeze when he is outside in the cold. I'm not sure if this is environmental or just some lingering side effects of his pneumonia. We have remaining enrofloxacin tables (2 per day) but stopped administering them today as he's been on them for 12 days now. Could you please advise on if we should be continuing any medication? Les Paul has been doing really well. He has an adventurous spirit and is always up for a car ride (he is a great travel companion) and has shown a friendly demeanor when meeting people. While he is a sensitive guy, he leads with a shy confidence that is building every day. He has been receptive to verbal encouragement, has shown to be handler orientated and is very treat motivated. Overall, Les Paul is a pretty laid back guy who loves to cuddle and seeks out affection. He is curious but goofy and we love encouraging him to play as he has such a playful, puppy energy that breaks out. We're working on his house training and he is not the biggest fan of a crate, but he has quickly learned basic commands like sit, down, pay and slowly but surely, "stay". We really are enjoying our time with Les Paul. 2/2: Les Paul has been doing really well! His pneumonia has begun to clear up and he seems to be acclimating to a daily food/walk routine - he's definitely made himself right at home with us. We'll be experimenting by having him stay home alone while we're at work this week and expect him to be finished with his medication by Friday. Les Paul is such a sweet and gentle boy that is very responsive to communication and has learned some new skills like sit and down, he's also showing great progress on learning commands of "stay" and "bed". Now that he is comfortable, familiar and feeling better, he's shown us more and more of his bubbly, goofy personality each day and has become so playful over the last couple days. He's been friendly with people, a great (and calm) car companion and is the king of napping. He's given us nothing but gentle affection and truly just wants to be loved - we adore him! 📽️Videos from the shelter: Meet Les Paul: https://youtube.com/shorts/9qCJG71AaRk?si=O6tq1qYyRthrIYaR Cold Club Playgroup 1/17: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcnvoGYrJkIZfectt---FYRqY34Muje8z Les Paul meets Geronimo: https://youtu.be/ylQhjfCKy50?si=25FUceGCfzT5sTUc
