Story
Meet Paige, a charming, petite pitbull terrier with a beautiful tan coat. Born around September 2022, she’s already spayed and up to date her vaccines, making her ready for her forever home. Paige is housebroken and crate-trained, showcasing her excellent manners. Full of energy, she thrives on playful activities and enriching mental stimulation. While she currently lives in an urban area, we believe she would absolutely flourish in a peaceful suburban or rural setting with a secure fenced yard. The city noises can be overwhelming for her, and a quieter environment would allow her to truly shine. We adore this delightful girl, and we’re certain you will too! Don’t miss the chance to welcome Paige into your life—apply today! https://www.hart2heartanimalrescue.com/forms/form?formid=6527

Story
Luke is the kind of dog who lives for the joy of movement—ears flying, paws pounding, tail wagging as he races around a yard without a care in the world. At just 4 years old, this white mixed-breed terrier is bursting with energy and heart, and he’s ready to share it all with a family of his own. Luke is looking for a special home: adult-only or older dog-savvy teens, where he can be the only pet, and with a fenced yard for him to run and run to his heart’s content. After a day of play, he’s a fantastic car companion, sleeps soundly in his crate, and happily chews on a good bone. He even “watches” basketball on TV, cocking his head to the sounds of the game. But as unstoppable as Luke’s spirit is, his world is quietly changing—he’s losing his vision. It can’t be fixed, but it hasn’t slowed him down one bit. Luke doesn’t need expensive medical care or special treatment. He’s still the same vibrant, playful boy, ready to run, love, and live life to the fullest with the people who finally choose him. What Luke needs most is someone who sees beyond what’s fading and recognizes everything he still is: vibrant, loving, and ready to give his whole heart. Luke has waited long enough for his second chance. Could you be the one to give it to him? Apply today to give Luke the forever he’s been dreaming of: https://www.hart2heartanimalrescue.com/forms/form?formid=6527

Story
If happiness had a wagging tail, it would probably look a lot like Sophia. Estimated to be about 7months old, Sophia arrived at ACCT after being found roaming the street alongside Katarina, a young female dog she shares a close bond with. Sophia is an incredibly sweet, friendly, and wiggly girl who greets the world with optimism. She is easy to leash, walks beautifully by your side, and is the kind of dog who happily says hello to new people with a soft, welcoming posture and a joyful tail wag. Sophia arrived as a stray with Katarina, and the two share a beautiful bond. Sophia often stays close to Katarina for comfort and reassurance; she's also happy to venture out, explore, and greet people on her own. Together they're an absolute joy to spend time with! Sophia loves attention and welcomes gentle petting all over. She takes treats politely, and during her bath, even though she was understandably a little nervous, she remained patient, allowing all handling, towel drying, and plenty of comforting pets. Despite arriving at the shelter covered in fleas, Sophia has never let her difficult start define her. She is resilient, trusting, and full of affection for everyone she meets. Sophia has all the ingredients of an exceptional family companion: friendly, easygoing, gentle, and eager to be loved. She and Katarina would make an incredible pair for someone able to adopt both, but most of all, Sophia deserves a home where her sweet spirit can continue to blossom. Interested to meet Sophia? Visit ACCT Philly any day of the week between 10am-6pm. VIDEOS Sophia + Katarina bonded duo: https://youtube.com/shorts/OZSowCakThs?is=kU6GqFcnzFfSlfZd Sophia gets a bath! Part 2: https://youtube.com/shorts/maPEPqyxGmU?is=fHJM8mAbS7iK7Iun NOTES Per Volunteer 7/17/26 - Sophia was at the front of her kennel super wiggly and friendly! She was easy to leash and very happy once she saw Katarina. She walked swiftly by Katarina's side to go outside, and continued nudged up against her walking to the play yard. She solicited attention from both handlers in play yard, and followed Katarina around as she explored. Both dogs greeted members of the public along with the fence with friendly posture. Sophia is super wiggly and has silly puppy mannerisms that will warm your heart and make you smile :) She accepted treats gently. Sophia passed by dogs in WC without interest, staying near Katarina. Back inside she entered her kennel with ease. We later returned to bathe her. She was wiggly in room and then slightly nervous when placed in bath. She was very patient throughout her bath, allowing all handling, including washing her paws and belly. Sophia returned to her very wiggly and excitable puppy play after being towel dried. Sophia was happy to see Katarina as she returned to her kennel, greeting her in the neighboring kennel and then entered with ease. Sophia is a very fun and happy dog! Per Staff 7/17/26 - Volunteers took out Sophia and Katarina together and based on the way they interact, they think Katarina may be the mother of Sophia. Both dogs are very sweet, but Katarina wants to remain by Sophia's side and when she is in her kennel, seems like she is actively searching for her and will try to nuzzle her way out. She is much more at ease by her side. They both received baths and did excellent! Per Staff 7/16/26 - Sophia is very friendly and wiggly! She was easy to leash and walk. She would occasionally jump up on me gently but mainly stayed on all fours. She was very itchy due to the fleas she came in with but in high spirits. She took treats and didn't seem to know any commands. She was easy to return to kennel Per Staff 7/15/26 - Bonded with A-255800 Katarina Per Staff 7/15/26 - picked up 2 stray pits from caller . They noted seeing the dogs roaming. No chip found Per Staff 7/15/26 - Has a lot of fleas on both of them .
