Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Princess, a sweet senior girl in need of a new home. Princess is a 9 year old, 50ish pound pittie mix surrendered to us (along with her sister Angel) when their mom fell ill and could no longer care for them. They are not bonded and we are looking for separate home for them. Princess spent her whole life in a loving home and is doing her best to adjust to kennel life. Princess is friendly to everyone. She is a loving and affectionate girl who enjoys laying on a comfy bed and going for leisurely walks. She is housebroken and well behaved in the home. She would be a wonderful companion or family dog and she deserves to spend her golden years curled up on a couch instead of a kennel floor. Her only request is to be the only dog in the home. Princess is microchipped, UTD on vaccines and will be spayed upon adoption. If you’d like to meet Princess, please fill out an adoption application on our website at Rescueridge.com. If your application is a possible match, a volunteer will reach out to you to schedule a meet.  Princess is waiting for you in her kennel in Monmouth County, NJ Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 2:43 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This handsome guy is Dante. He is a young husky/shepherd mix (born June 2024), and weighs about 50 pounds. Dante is very smart, playful and full of personality - but we are not going to sugar coat it- he’s a handful! He is friendly, has had obedience training, loves to work for treats and knows plenty of commands- but will pick and choose who he will listen to and when he will listen.  A dog like Dante is frustrated in a kennel environment. We cannot meet his mental or physical needs. He needs a home- someone with the skill, time and patience to work with him. We are looking for a special adopter- the one who can see his potential and wants to help a dog in need.  A potential adopter for Dante must be an experienced dog handler, who can establish and maintain leadership from the start. He will challenge his handler- so this is an absolute must! A fully fenced in yard is required. We believe he would do best in a home with one or two adults. He has the potential to live with another dog. (But of course a meet is a must).   Dante has bonded with some of our volunteers, and can be very affectionate. We believe he has the potential to be a great companion- but only in the right hands. Please do not apply for Dante if you do not meet his requirements.  If you are that special someone we are looking for and enjoy working with challenging dogs- please apply on our website at rescueridge.com. Dante needs a chance at a life outside of a kennel! Dante is located in Monmouth County, NJ Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 2:43 pm

Trey’s mom is facing some significant challenges in her life right now and needs to find a new home for Trey. She does not want to surrender him to our shelter- so we are hoping to find him a new home quickly.  Trey is a fantastic dog. Super sweet and friendly! Loves all his mom’s friends and neighbors and is good with children. He’s housebroken and extremely well behaved in the home. His mom describes him as a cuddle bug and “the best dog ever”.  He loves to be around people and would love a home where someone is home a majority of the time. Trey also loves to play and would truly enjoy a home with a fenced yard. Trey’s only request is to be the only dog in the home. Trey is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.
