Story
I took Finley from his abuser directly when he was 8 months old. He is now almost 4 and is a great pet. He is trained and well behaved. He loves baths and blow drys, he is crate trained and doesn’t mind being left alone for quite some time (I work long shifts), and he’s not destructive, but might get in trash. He is potty trained, up to date on everything, and loves car rides and dog parks. He matches your life style and adapts. If you’re a busy person, that’s okay, he can chill at home. If you’re active, perfect, he’ll come too! He can be just as relaxed or energetic as you need him to be. He is dog friendly and is not food/toy aggressive at all. He has issues with getting his nails trimmed, so I have had him sedated before. He is fearful of people and is very shy. He takes a while to warm up to humans, and can be very scared for a while. Once he does warm up, he is a lover and wants to cuddle. He is a great dog and a loving best friend. I am moving and unfortunately he cannot come.

Story
Kyra is a typical loving, cuddly, energetic, goofy pit mix, and is great around people. Good with commands - sit, down, place, leave it (drop it), let's go (follow), heel. Spayed and up to date on vaccinations, and no known or ongoing health issues. She is about 7 years old.  She has a history of resource guarding aggression that has periodically escalated into fights between her and her dog sibling that she's instigated. She would do best in a home without any other dogs or children (unless they are older).  Kyra is being surrendered her current owner and a community member.  She is not being fostered by a volunteer with the Powell Animal Welfare Society.  PAWS is not responsible for the accuracy or validity of this post.May 21, 2026, 5:58 pm

Gus is a loving, affectionate 7-year-old Lab Pit mix who weighs 58lbs. This handsome boy shines when he feels safe. He’s the ultimate snuggle buddy, curling up for cozy cuddles on the couch or bed. Gus loves playing with stuffed animals — carrying them, squeaking them, and enjoying tug or fetch.He attended a board and training facility and knows excellent manners: “place,” sit, lay down, shake, and even give hugs on command. At 7, he has a calm, loving adult personality with playful moments.Important notes:•  Single-dog home only — Gus resource guards and doesn’t always get along with other dogs.•  Afraid of men; takes time to warm up (best with patient, slow introductions; women as primary caregiver ideal).•  Scared of the vet but always praised for being good and patient.Gus is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, house-trained, and loves Greenie toothbrushes. He’ll thrive with someone experienced with shy dogs who can give him time to trust and blossom. He has so much love to give!
