No Good with kids? No kids younger than teens Commands known: Sit, down, heel, come, left and right when running Needs fenced in yard? No Need another dog in the home? No Location: Galena, OH Energy level (high/med/low)? Med   Bio: Woody is your quintessential German Shepherd — loyal, intelligent, and eager to bond deeply with his person. He’s around 5 years old, weighs about 80 pounds, and is ready to find his forever home. He came to Speak almost two years ago after his previous owners could no longer provide the life he deserved. Since then, Woody and his sibling, Hayes, have been in foster and boarding care. While it was once thought the two were bonded, Woody has shown he’s ready to thrive on his own. Woody takes a little time to warm up to new people — it took about two weeks for him to trust his foster fully — but once he does, he’s incredibly loyal and affectionate. He loves to follow his person around, and if you stay still long enough, he’ll curl up nearby to keep you company. He’s a bit under socialized with both people and other dogs, but he’s made great progress. He’s done wonderfully being separated from his sibling and now enjoys a more home-like environment. Woody has minimal reactivity when given calm, clear communication. Like most Shepherds, he’ll bark at strangers behind a fence or door, but it’s short-lived and easily managed. Woody craves structure, consistency, and plenty of head rubs. He enjoys chewing on sticks and toys but isn’t too interested in chasing balls or flirt poles. His previous foster ran with him regularly. He also LOVES to swim and would happily spend the day splashing around. Woody would do best with someone experienced with German Shepherds who can provide clear leadership and an active lifestyle. A home with space to roam and explore would make him happiest. He’s untested with cats and small animals, and while he might do well with a calm, established female dog, proper introductions will be important. Training Perks:Woody comes with three free 1-on-1 training sessions from Wolfman’s Canines, plus a $1,000 training voucher toward a 4-week Board & Train program — which also includes three additional follow-up sessions! Woody is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines/prevention and being fostered in Galena, Ohio. If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent companion with a steady heart, Woody might be your perfect match, please complete an adoption application found at www.speakfortheunspoken.com/adopt ##2248125##

Story
We brought Henry home at 8 weeks old and at only 10 lbs. he quickly grew in his first year and settled around 120-125 lbs. He’s a big boy! We knew his mom was a German shepherd, but later found out he had Great Pyrenees that explained his size. He requires a lot of mental and physical stimulation, which is one of the reasons why we’re looking to rehome. We expanded our family and has become increasingly harder to exercise him to the point he deserves. It’s just too difficult to keep ahold of his strong body and walk two children unless you have an extra set of hands. He has been through training, knows sit lay down, stay, (including at his mat), and nose touches. He is a Great Pyrenees so he is stubborn at times when it comes to listening such as when he’s enjoying outside. We hope to find someone who can give the love and attention he needs, as well as a large backyard to run around. He’s been to daycare and dog parks - he enjoys making friends.

Story
Bio for Pelvis Presley! Male or female- Spayed Female Age-10-11months  Breed- Pitbull mix Weight- 38lbs Impairment-Previous broken pelvis Potty trained- Working on it Crate trained- Is currently crated when foster is not home, does not love it. Good with other dogs- yes, would need a meet and greet Good with kids- yes Commands known- Knows her name, comes when called (most times)  Need fence- Preferred, she does not walk well on a leash. Working on it. Need another dog in house- No, enjoys other dogs. However, is more attached to "her person" Location- Kalamazoo, MI Energy- Medium Good with cats- Wants to play hard with cats. Currently living with VERY dog friendly cats. Does chase to play with them. Would be easier in a house with no cats   Meet Pelvis Presley! She was originally brought into animal control when a good Samaritan found her. Unfortunately she was terrified while running loose and unfortunately was hit by a car. She did have a broken pelvis. Fortunately it has healed with some exercise restriction is now able to work up to normal activity. She'd likely benefit from some joint supplements to help prevent the likely arthritis that may occur after this injury. She's not quite able to stretch that leg out as well as the other, but it does NOT slow her down. She wants to run/jump and play like any other puppy. However, she is not super energetic and would do fine with regular walks. No long runs needed.  She's a sweet "pocket pitty" that loves her person. She's currently being fostered in family with a 2 year old child, 2 female dogs (1 small and one large) and 2 cats. She does well with the child and the dogs. She likes to chase and play with the cats, she has shown no aggression towards them. However, she could easily stress out not super dog friendly cats. She still needs some work on socialization and can be slow to warm up, but she is huge cuddler once she becomes attached. She is currently attached to the mom in the house, but does well with everyone. She would love someone that is home often or even able to take her to work. She will be your shadow around the house. She will bark when she sees or hears people approaching the house, but she is excited/nervous when they enter. She is still working on house breaking, but is only improving. She will also use a pee pad if one is offered.  She is spayed and up to date with her core vaccines. Who doesn't want a fun size pitty as a house companion! Please consider adopting Presley! ##2619644##
