Story
Meet Mitchell – the boy with a heart of gold, ears that live their own life, and a weirdness you can only fully appreciate when you meet him! Mitchell has been in his foster home since the day he was born. He has always been a little different, and a very vocal boy – like all shepherds strive to be. Mitchell is 3 years old and 70 lbs of mostly German Shepherd and Great Pyrenees. He loves other dogs and his personality has really taken off with strangers too. He has a couple of best friend foster siblings that he enjoys playing with. Mitchell is house and kennel trained. He will need a home with a routine and patience as he works on leash training and that can help him keep learning. Mitchell has a pretty standard shepherd personality. If you have experience with shepherds, you fully understand. He wants to be worried about the world, while also being a social butterfly – an interesting combination for sure! Mitchell does get nervous with new things, but as his confidence continues to grow, we know that nervousness will get less and less. He hasn't been around kids but with his easy going demeanor we don't think he would have any issues in a home with kids that know how to respect their dog friends. He was born with bad hips and had surgeries to get him all fixed up. He’s still trying to learn that his hips are fixed, so he walks a little odd, but that just goes with his personality! Mitchell is a large dog, so he will benefit from some joint supplements as he ages. He may never be a super high energy guy, but more of a couch potato, hang out with his humans kind of guy. Mitchell wants to be a house dog, a true family companion, and would do best in a lower-key home. Staying active throughout his life will help him, but he won’t ever be a marathoner! You can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@gmail.com or apply to meet / adopt at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application! Mitchell is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $150.

Story
Meet Fitz! He is 3 years old and 70 pounds. He came to us when he was only 5 weeks old and was witness being attacked by a much larger dog. He suffered a skull fracture as a result of the attack but fully recovered! He is neutered, up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, heart-worm negative, and micro-chipped! Fitz is your typical dog. He has no lasting effects from his attack and loves life and everything it has to offer. Fitz LOVES playing with his foster siblings and would love to have an active home to keep him entertained. Fitz also attends doggy daycare and absolutely loves going to play with all the other doggos! He also lives with cats and does just fine with them. Fitz is house and kennel trained. Fitz hasn't lived with children but would likely do just fine with older kids that know how to respect their dog friends. He has lived his life with females, so he will take a little extra time to warm up to males in the home, but given patience and understanding he will be a quick sell! He encounters men at daycare and does great with them. Since he’s been in a foster home for so long, Fitz will need a patient adopter that understands he will need a little time to acclimate to his new surroundings – he just may be a little unsure at first. He also moonlights as a doggie model and will happily let you dress him up. He knows he looks good! Attending daycare has kept Fitz very socialized around other dogs, so he really hasn’t ever met a 4 legged stranger. He is a super happy go lucky boy that just wants to swim and play and have a good time. Fitz has been in foster care far too long and we would like nothing better for him to get his happily ever after! You can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@gmail.com or apply to meet / adopt at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application

Story
Mandi Sue better known as “Baby” is a 50 lb 1 year mystery mix, maybe American Pit Bull Terrier with some boxer in there too. She has the cutest underbite and expressive ears. Baby was rescued from euthanasia after arriving to a shelter with significant leg injuries. She received immediate medical care and now rocks the tripod life! She is a big baby that loves giving kisses, snuggling, squeaky toys and naps. She does well with children and is loving and protective with the sweetest spirit. Baby is housebroken and crate trained and has good leash manners. She will be a devoted companion to her family. Mandi had bloodwork at her vet visit. Interested in becoming a forever home for Baby?
