Meet Tahlee: Professional Side-Eyer, Full-Time Party Girl, Future Best Friend
Tahlee's story started with a scare. After being hit by a car and ending up at a local shelter, everyone feared the worst. Thankfully, her injuries were far less severe than originally believed, and with a little rest, love, and time to heal, this resilient girl made a full recovery. Now, at around six months old and 37 pounds, Tahlee is ready to find the family she was always meant to have.
We're not exactly sure what breeds make up this adorable little mixed breed package, but her foster mom suspects there's some American Bully in the mix. Why? Well, Tahlee has perfected the art of the side-eye. She's smart enough to know exactly what you're asking of her, but every now and then she'll take a moment to consider whether she actually wants to participate. Spoiler alert: sometimes she has other plans.
Tahlee is equal parts comedian, cuddle bug, and wrecking ball. She loves to play and fully embraces puppy life, complete with zoomies, wrestling matches, and enthusiastic adventures. She gets along wonderfully with her foster siblings, both canine and feline, and does an impressive job adjusting her play style to match her companions. Got an energetic dog looking for a wrestling partner? Tahlee is ready. Have a more laid-back friend? She can dial it back and relax too. When left to entertain herself, she's surprisingly content and independent.
Because of her playful, rambunctious nature, Tahlee would probably do best with another confident dog who enjoys rough-and-tumble play, or as a solo dog soaking up all the attention. Very small children or fragile dogs may not be the best match simply because Tahlee sometimes forgets she's built like a tiny bulldozer.
Like many puppies, Tahlee is still learning the finer points of sharing. She can be a little possessive of toys from time to time, especially when she finds one she really loves. Her foster mom has been working with her on this, and while she's never aggressive, she occasionally channels "annoying little sister energy" and declares certain toys as exclusively hers. Because of this, she'd do best with a dog companion who won't take offense to her occasional bratty moments.
The good news? Tahlee checks all the important boxes. She's potty trained, kennel trained, enjoys leash walks, loves people, gets along with cats, and has the kind of goofy, lovable personality that keeps you smiling every day.
